Thats a true, humble man right there...
Having only known you a short time Jan, I see this in you each time I call you or you answer some dim-whitted e-mail I send you and you never ignore it or point me somewhere else... You always help and It's great we have such a guy to refer to in the Mini Community, and life in general... Here's to much to come and happy motoring!!!

Great post Jan, I think you summed it up quite nicely.

I know one thing Jan is more passionate about than MINI's. Well, two, but only one I can mention here.

No need to apologize but apology accepted .

It was nice talking to you today. As seen on NAM there are a lot of passionate Mini nuts. At times we all can get a little over zealous (myself included).

Keep me posted on your front mount. It sounds like a fun project.

If I were Jan, I would take all the RMW parts off your car while you were asleep and give them to someone who can be a better representative of the customer base that Revolution Mini Works has built.

Don't ever offer food to Jan. It must be a Marine thing because he eats anything and lot of what ever you put in front of him.

This is good to know. I owe Jan a few beers already(Ok more than a few after pulling out the 259) so I guess I'll bring the AMEX when he takes up payment, it might get out of hand

Everyone that really knows me, know I care about making the best products available and I will continue to do so. The Mini community deserves it

Most people who have met me arond the country know what I stand for and that's why my business has been a success. Most never take what is said on the net in the proper light anyway, it's usually in the light they want to see it in. This in itself causes major problems. Most are easily settled with a simple phone call to hear the sincerity in a persons voice. Thank you LONGBOARD

I'm positive that most wouldn't feel this way about Nick if they actually met the young man in person. He is a sponge of knowledge and researches stuff incessantly. Yeah, he's young and ambitious but so what? Weren't we all at one time or another? I really think most are taking his comments in the wrong light.

Read them for what they are worth.... he has spent major money trying out products, he knows what works and what doesn't from an end user point of view. (he's constantly monitoring timing, inlet temps, pressures etc so he sees the data) Look, we have all bought stuff in our lives that at the end of the day was just stuff that we had no business buying for whatever reason. Some have a hard time admitting it was a bad deal so they justify having bought it.

I have spent incredible amounts of money testing stuff, my own stuff, others stuff and the like. WHy? because no one else would do it. This isn't cheap to do, nor fun. I would have given my left arm to find someone to test all of the stuff I have spent my own hard cash on. I pioneered many projects with my own money when I was an enthusiast, pushing boundries where no other vendors would go at the time. Hubie Fuh was the only other vendor that was out there that had the same mentality to push the envelope. We would all be stuck at 200whp if we hadn't done what we did 5yrs ago. While we forged onward, we caught major flack from vendors along the way but it didn't stop us. What you see now in the Mini community is fruit from that tree planted 5yrs ago.

I took my 17yr old son around with me today, he watched me answer emails and the incessant phone ringing all day. (not to mention the phone calls in voice mails that I still need to return) His comment to me was... "why do you do it dad?"

I said, son.... it's a passion I have , some day you will find something that moves you to be the best at. When you find it, embrace it.

I can honestly say I have met many wonderful people in the Mini community and most would give the shirt off their backs. I want to thank each and every one of you for your caring and sincerity.

I know this was long winded but certain things need to be said and now is a good time to start.

thanks for your time....

jan

Well put Jan. I also have only known/emailed you for a short while and I am happy with the service I have had I will just say 2AM to tune my car, thats service/commitment

I'm not older than your son seems weird when you talk to people on here as you don't know the age group you are talking to

I'm 21, 22 in October. Age means nothing.

How old are you Jaw . Younger than Jan's son with a MINI and Jan's head/tune! Wow.
