R56 Question about intercooler!!

Question about intercooler!!
Im replacing my turbo and both cats due to a piece of the rubber insert on the intake tube to the turbo got sucked into the turbo and damaged the fins badly. My question is should I be worried about the pieces that may have got into the intercooler??

Are you putting in an OEM turbo in or an upgrade like a K04?

Its an OEM rebuilt from JMTurboCoopers.com. I am upgrading to the JCW turbo but its still a stock one. Stock cats too.
