OMG. Look at what I came home to....

So I get off the bus today on the way home from work and walk into the parking garage thinking all is well. I get in the car and see this:

I didn't think much of it. But when I got home I noticed it was a little worse than I thought:

It's like the roof above the garage rained some sort of saltwater/concrete solution. I didn't know what I was dealing with here.....

Don't know what it is/was, but thank the almighty that a little water and suds (not to mention the Epic preventative) and it came off:

Whhheeeewwww. Huge sigh of relief. Time to crack a couple and do the happy dance!

Our 5 day old MINI was christened today, unceremoniously, by an anonymous bird at my parents' house. Oh well, in every life some #$%! must fall.

Glad to see you got that crud off. This is a perfect example why a good quality wax/sealant is so important.

Thanks. It freaked me out pretty good when I first saw it. Looking up at the ceiling of the garage I was right under a concrete joint which is all stained and possibly even breaking up. My fear was that there were small pieces of concrete and rock falling in this slurry. I brought my camera in to see if I can get pics of it, but was distracted this morning with another issue. I'll take some on the way home.

I think you made the mess and posted the thread just so you could show off your shiny and clean MINI. *suspicious*

Glad it cleaned off without any problem!

BCE???? (I think I have the BC, not sure about the E though)

I was in such a rush to get the crap off the car, I didn't get my towels before hand. After running the hose over the car for the final sheeting off, I realized it, ran to the cubboard where they've been kept the last 2 years to find my wife has found a new home for them. Of course she wasn't home and I never did find the towels, so I did the next best thing and used my old CA Water Blade. No Hydro, but no spots either.

You and me both.

I took some shots of the source on the way home. Check it out:

I believe that is a cigarette stuck in there, and it does appear that the concrete may be chipping out. I drove up to the second floor and although a car was parked over this spot, the joint look sealed and in good condition. In anycase, I'm glad it worked out harmlessly. I don't think it would have come out so easy if it hit my roof.
