.... depends on what an "acceptable" level of swirling and polishing schedule is, and how "dirty" the car gets.... I regularly QD'd my daily driver for over a year, with very little swirling. But I only did it when I had only dust and bugs (no real "dirt") and I used the duster to remove dust (especially from the boot) before using QD and towel... if the car was truly dirty, or had been through the rain and picked up grit, I washed it.

true, if it's just dust and very light oils/carbon deposits QD will do just
fine. my MCS has not been washed yet this season.

but if it got wet from morning dew/rain, etc. best just to wash it.

It's funny.... I have nearly twice as much experience *driving* a MINI as the great kenchan. He just has about 100x as much experience as me *wiping* a MINI.

I have joined the Hydro fan club! Among other things, I used it on my wheels after Wheel Armour, and they look fantastic.

nice. if you use hydro on the wheels after each wash, you wont need
wheel armour any more other than for stains.

yes, myminirox. wipe that grin off before you go back inside, otherwise
your wife will think you went crazy staring at the wheels.

i think my soar throat is going full blast to a cold... i should go to the
garage to get my forehead temp using the IR thermometer.
(while keeping my eyes closed)

i should also go change out the blinker fluid in my turn signals and
swap out the fog lamp heater core to prep for tomorrow's drive.

yah, i came down with a cold. no motoring this am either...so it's wed
and i have not motored my G or MCS in the last 5 days.

and it's super nice out too... sunny and cool, temps in the low 60F. wat
a dog damn waste. but my original plan was to fly out to Japan
this morning, so considering that i suppose i lucked out. trip got pushed
out to Oct.

so, going to be swapping out the legacy's wheels tonight (if i feel better).
i stopped by honda last night to check out the Odyssey in the showroom.
thing is gigangous... will see if the wife can drive it tomorrow. it has
backup camera and everything so should be ok

Wee, just got done a wash and Hydro. Also, this time I remembered to use BW *before* washing. Much better. I thought about doing another coat of Epic but it seemed totally unnecessary. I had a hard enough time wetting the car because all the water beaded up and rolled off!

Just for fun, I used my wheel brush on the wheels while they were dry. Sure enough, the brake dust comes right off (well, most of it). That Wheel Armour really does its job. Now I just need to find a better brush. Mine's a little wide to get in all the nooks.

Speaking of wheels, I need to start shopping for another set of wheels for the snow, ugh.

motored my MCS this am. was nice.

afterwards, dusted, SprayOn waxed the car and clarity'ed the glass.
also SpeedShine'ed the arches. going to Slick the wheels
when i get home.

weather's looking pretty good this weekend so will motor my G,
and will wash my dd's afterwards. well, wife wants me to
try one more thing on the legacy before we trade it in for the
Odyssey (replace 02 sensor), so will also do an oil change as well.

wat's everyone else doing this weekend?
