Summit point track day, Mar, 9 -10.

Has anyone sign up for the event yet?
Car Guys track day at Summit Point. http://www.carguys.com/calendar.html
I'm wondering if they have a group rate or any discount for DCMM?
March 9-10, sounds good. My MINI should be ready by then.

I don't think the details have completely been worked out yet, but LDG was trying to get discounts if you signed up through them.

$495 for a weekend? Holly crap!
I hope you get more than 2 hours of track time, plus classroom and skid pad.

Doh!

I'd be interested, but that's the baby's due date, so I'll surely be in California. :(

They say they give you 2 hours per day. So 4 hours per weekend.

I know a lot of people balk at the prices, but you have to remember that there isn't a club or anything sponsoring it so the prices are a more realistic reflection of what it costs to rent the track.

If you get 2 hours of track time each day, plus skid pad and classroom it is in line with NCC school pricing. NCC it's close to 90 minutes a day. NCC prices are set closer to break-even. Car Guys is a business and it's understandable that they need to make a profit. $495 is not out of line then. It's just the sticker shock that got me. I have heard they run a quality school.

Yeah, I know that sticker shock feeling. At the same time, I don't think I'd want much over 2 hours of track time a day. The 4 track sessions we go at the school MINI of Sterling ran last fall was quite tiring.

So if we sign up as a group, (with LDG) we might be get a little break then.

this class is on the main course. the jefferson circuit gets boring after you've done 30 laps, but i'm sure the main course wouldn't get old.

Each track has its advantages. The main track is more of a horsepower track than the Jeff.

John from LDG has made a post over in his forum about the events as well as one in here. He would be someone to talk to, but last I heard he's not going to be in next week. So you're going to have to wait at least a week to see if he has any more details.

Well, I had tentatively planned on making the first Car Guys event but that doesn't look like it's going to pan out. Something far more important came up.
