Yellow MC
There is ALWAYS a mellow yellow hardtop MC sitting in the parking lot of Total Wine on the corner of Pickett Rd and Main St in Fairfax City. It sat in the same spot for months, and finally disappeared, only to return a few days later.

My daughter is six years old and I let her grab a quarter out of the ashtray for every Mini she spots on the road when we are traveling. Almost broke me on the way to Hershey! Got several wave backs and lots of smiles.

Experienced a first this evening at the intersection of Broadway and Greenspring... I was waiting to make a right turn onto Greenspring when a HYPER Blue MINI with white stripes made a right turn onto Broadway.. and I was waved at first 
! Oh course I returned the wave but was so shocked by getting a wave first instead of first giving one that I do not even remember if it was an S or justacooper !

Saw and waved to a LY/B MCS on Rte. 28 near MoS this afternoon around lunchtime. Your license plate was something like "NBLET", which made me smile for several reasons it could have been interpreted...

Magoo - look at post 2152 at the top of this page....must be you. I have no idea on the new colors being an R53 owner, lightning blue....laser blue....?????? the Clubby I saw looked very much like the one in the picture. I also see the chap in the red MCS too. But there are two that usually wave, one is CR/W MCS and the other is CR/B MCS (Both R53)
Last week I passed an O2B/W MC with white bon-bons at Powder Mill & Edmonston, looked like she was in a collision

Passed (3) MINI today. (1) Clubby "S" at 197 and Powder Mill (Magoo ?) another Clubby in Sparkling Silver / Black with temp tags and the Laser Blue S with racing stripes that I have seen before on race track rd. No waves from any that I could tell.

Saturday Morning 6/21/2008 corner of Russel Rd. and Braddock in Alexandria CR/W R53 (MCS) w/blacked out grill driving lights. Gave wave, received wave.
This morning (6/24/2008) westbound 267 Toll Road near Reston PW/B R50 (MC) 2004+ "TOI BAYO" was the plate I believe, not 100% sure as "toi bayo" doesn't make sense to me ... Polynesian? Regardless of my bad recollection of the license plate ... Gave wave, received wave.
In between those two occurances I gave 5 waves and received 2 more, that were so fleeting I don't remember the details. So 7 total waves, 4 responses. My oh my, are things improving?

spitfire, that was probably me...197 and Powdermill Rd..turn there to get down to Greenbelt..then into College Park.
I also come down Race Track Rd, since I live in the "I" section of Bowie.
Saw a red mini turning that morning onto 197..waved but too late..

On Rt 7 in Falls Church across the street from Tara Thai. I saw a red MINI Moke. I was in the Barvian Racing Green/Silver big MINI. You and the lady seemed to be having a blast. The Mini Moke look GREAT.

- Nice to see you !I've seen two R53 CR/MCS' on the route over the past 2 years with consistency. Both chaps seem into their rides as much as we are, always good for a wave and a smile. One has a white roof and the other black-both with matching bonnies.

I saw lots of MINIs today. No waves, but there was a lot of traffic and they were usually going in the other direction.
Tonight, I saw a purple Classic Mini crossing the Calvert St.Bridge, heading into Adams Morgan. The driver was youngish woman who appeared to be texting.

A group of us tagged an Astro Black MINI over in Sterling yesterday. We backed into our spots in the back of a parking lot and when we got out of the restaurant, we gained a MINI! Thanks for playing along and I hope you join the club some time.
