Hmmm, it's saying the courtyard rooms are booked on Saturday. :(

Anyone know if they offer non-smoking tower rooms?

They do. Had one last year (well, this year) and I got one for next year.

I just talked to Palace and here's the deal. Ratt, you must have been looking at Palace's website. Our total allocation for the friday and saturday night is:
Tower 140
Courtyard 180
Total 320

and right now, we've got 50 courtyard rooms (and 96 tower rooms) booked. All of the courtyard rooms that haven't been reserved are allocated to AMVIV, so the hotel website shows no courtyard rooms left. If you call and use the AMVIV code "PCIMVIV", you can still get a courtyard room at the group rate.

And yes, every hotel in Vegas offers non-smoking rooms. It's becoming harder to find smoking rooms these days than non-smoking.

It would be a lot harder to get that published in the Journal of Public Health.

From the description in the OJ trial (V2.0) the Palace Station rooms sound nice. I just thought it was really funny that they were mentioning it so much and wonder if I can maybe rent room 1203.

One of our club members already requested it when he registered.

I hope it doesn't come complete with OJ turn-down service!

Wouldn't that be the OJ stick-up service?

Last time I asked about 1203, they weren't renting it at all, but they had had people offer several hundred dollars per night to stay there. It might be available by March.

Tell your Peeps to be careful at AMVIV, it's REAL close to Easter.

We have to work out what everything will cost, if there are any runs with fees involved that we can pre-pay, stuff like that, before the registration can go live.

I'LL BE BRINGING MY 'PEEPS' THIS YEAR... WOOT!

I am planning to be in Vegas in March sometime, no dates yet. I'll keep these dates in mind, I won't have my MINI with me.. it's just too far, but I'd love to see everyone else's, so I might stop by.

There are a few great full-day runs, but a lot of people don't want to leave Vegas for a full day run when there is so much to do here. And even then, you're doing 100 miles of interstate to get to the 30-50 miles of fun roads, then 100 miles of boring roads back again. It's a problem.

I think that over the last 2 years, (this year was the 1st time we'd added new runs since 2005), we've taken people on most of the good, doable runs in the area. We've found a few other good roads to drive, but there isn't room at the end of the run for all the cars to stop for pictures. There are a couple of those that spring to mind. We're probably going to mix up the schedule and do runs from all prior years, and we're always looking for places that will work as an AMVIV run, but I don't know if we'll have any genuinely new runs this year. If AMVIV4 was your 1st time, there will absolutely be some runs that are new to you.
Just got back from Vegas today. need to request the time off tomorrow for AMVIV. (my wife already requested it.) IS Mt Charleston on the drive list? Did it when we were out the time before last and it was short and fun.

::::::edit below:::::::::::
We would be leaving Chicago area on that Monday to arrive on Weds. if anyone wants to caravan out. Trying to get Phannarith to go so we can caravan. Anyone else passing through or wanting to go from Chicago pm me. 90% postive we are going but nothing booked yet.
