Temporarily? Like 56 days, So a counterfeit MINI and the courtyard room overlooking I-15...not the most romantic weekend Plus it was hard chasing you guys down in a 4-door Colbalt

Finally...got off my butt and made reservations. Should be more fun this year without having to get up early to drive to Palace. Of course should make the nights more fun also! haha

I'm hoping to be there on Monday (8/24) with my work picking up the tab!

Jim - I'll make sure they keep the Red Square bar frozen for you.

I'd take some Canadian beer if it's on offer.

I just talked to Palace Station. At 9:30am on 10/18, over 5 months from the event, there are 118 rooms booked on our group rate. Our total room allocation is 320. You guys have already booked more than 1/3 of the available rooms. *applause*
Looks like it might be a big event this year.

And the best beer commercial that sparked a HUGE NATIONAL PRIDE movement... Molson, on Canada Day, actually flew him across the Country doing that speech... Chopper would land, he would run out, do his thing, run into the chopper and onto the next city, from coast to coast

A few weeks ago, there was a motorbike event at Cashman, they had 40,000 bikes here. 500 MINIs is a good start, but I know we can do better.

I think if it ever gets to 40,000 MINIs and Minis, we're going to need more people organizing it.
I'm kinda thinking that 600-700 is about the natural size of the event. It's mostly west coast and southwest cars with a solid turnout from the mountain and midwest regions. There are only so many enthusiasts in the drawing area who can take the time off to drive to Vegas. Of course, I'm always happy to see more MINIs show up and I get as big a kick as anyone watching the registration count climb.

So...I went back to the courtyard rooms this year. The tower is nice but $120 is cash in hand. Anyone want to tell me the courtyard rooms are NOT far better now than they were a few years ago and it's bad deal?
