Hey y’all! Newish here, but I’ve been loving everything I’ve learnt from this community! I have a 2019 Mini Countryman F60 - I was giving it a deep clean the other day and I found water in my boot base (images below) - I cleaned it out and dried it, after it was raining today I checked again and it looks like the leaking is still happening. Any ideas on how to fix this?
The sunroof drains can get clogged. This happens on other MINIs.
# 8 at the rear is a tube 54107394406 one in each corner under the headliner. If those clog or pop off, water can get in. We have a clamp kit that holds them on: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...51738197504kt/
In the trunk area. I dont see that cap, can you get the part numbers off of it? Should be near that BMW logo. That seal going under the body might be leaking?
I checked this morning and it seems the leaking has stopped. It’s been raining pretty heavily, the last day or two. But the moisture is drying up.
I checked the seals you mentioned and I don’t think it’s coming from the sunroof. It seems the water has been seeping up from the seals and in from the right of the base?
Here are the photos of those parts you mentioned. They pop right off and have wires coming out of them!
Thanks, found them. I dont know what it looks like yet or if it does come with a seal. Based off what i see i think it clips to the body with a seal. That seal or gasket is not holding and since the water looks localized I bet after heavy rains and driving it will leak. If you can pop it out and flip it over might be able to see. Looks like the wires that go to the EDC or DDC suspension set up. AKA electronic dampening on the shocks.
My F60 had a boot leak and there were broken vents behind the rear bumper. I cant remember the exact name for them but they are vents to allow pressure relief when closing the doors etc. The clips that hold them in place were brittle and broke which allowed them to sit loosely in the opening allowing water ingress. Worst case scenario, you may want to check those. They sick to replace lol

So update here, but I took my car to a local dealership and they blamed the gasket on my tail lights - I fixed that and I’m still getting leaking happening. Today I drove around and it seems only the right side was leaking. I have no idea what else to try.
I check the two “plugs” those caps come right off pretty easily, but I am also seeing water pool on the edges and at the back of the trunk where the trunk meets the back seats.
pretty stumped
