F55/F56 Water in Boot
Water in Boot
Anyone one else have this issue?
Twice I have found water in the boot. I have a 2014 MCS. There is a 'well' in the boot where a foam insert with a couple of tools reside. Twice I have found an inch or more of water in there. The liner that covers the bottom of the boot was wet along with what I had in the boot. I have the optional boot shelf (forget the exact name), it was not wet. The first time I found this was a couple of months ago, but I thought it was due to putting a wet car cover into the boot. Now I think there is a leak.
Interesting enough, I was emptying all my stuff out of the car to take it to the dealer for the 'bad air smell' from the a/c unit when I found this. I noticed the smell a few weeks ago as the weather warmed up. So I may have two issues. Last year I had the crimped a/c drain tube that filled the passenger floor with water. The dealer fixed that and all seemed to be fine.

There was at least one other owner that described something that sounded similar - check out page 6 of the "bad air smell" thread

I believe it was due to bad trunk seals
