Exactly. People around here complain about how their MINI understeers without a bigger swaybar, etc..... boo hoo hoo .... you haven't experienced understeer until you've tried to drive the Chrysler Great Dane on the hardwood twisties.

Got to try the Griots Spray on Wash today for the first time. Worked pretty well - good shine but haven't got to pull it out of the garage yet. Seems like it would work really well to touch up the wheels and the inside of the doors and boot lid.

I think that might be "floppy".

"Stubby" is more for the length-challenged.

Did this work out okay? I wonder if the use of a cover at the airport might atract more attention than we'd like..........

I've covered the car at the airport many times with no problems. I had to cut a "flap" over the license plate so the parking ***** can read and record the plate - otherwise they'll pull up the back of the cover to do it. But otherwise, no issues. There are a number of other covered cars in the garage at RDU at any given time. Security is pretty good there... I'm not worried. The cover is to keep the nasty airport dust off, and to reduce scratches and dings...

Hubba, Hubba... got my GTT badazz red industrial strutbrace and installed it tonight... My engine bay now looks like it would if my car were an Autobot. It's hella awesome. I'll post pics this weekend. Gotta do some more parts in red powdercoat to match and I'll have a kickin bay.

Take your time posting those pics, Paul. No hurry. Whenever.

I don't want to spend that kind of money right now.

yah, he's pretty familar with that with all that detailing he does everyday.

i sliced my finger today so no car washing/detailing for me for a few days.
it's a deep cut. its bandaged so im going to grab my
disposable glove from my tool case and wrap the wrist with a rubber
band before going into the shower.

it's raining anyways all weekend long, so nothing to loose. still
planning to go motoring in my FitS though.

Damn, ken... how'd you manage that ? Working in the garage or the kitchen ?

Not sure I'm going to do much detailing here this weekend, either. Looks like rain on Tuesday. Might give them a QD and call it a week.

Edit: WTH am I kidding ? I'll wash all of them, have them spotless and then do it all over again in a few days.

blimey-woooo~~ looks like a solid piece.

actually my cut happened while i was folding my umbrella inside the car
right after work. it was like 'ouch' and didnt think too much of it and
tried to start the car when i noticed blood rushing down my hand.
was like wtf havent seen that kind of a cut in a long time.

had to run back inside to get some first aid. took a while for the bleeding
to slow.

i kept pressure on it all last night using a tightly wrapped bandage and
it appears to have attached itself back. so i coated the 1/2" opening this
am with superglue. it didnt sting so that's good news.

Damn it, Paul... you had to go and show that off right away, didn't you ??

Geez, how much is THIS going to cost me ??

Hey, ken... time for a new umbrella, my friend. They shouldn't have edges that sharp.

motoring the FitS was fun in the pouring rain, until there were roads
blocked due to flooding.

car handled real well though. kinda tired from all the crap folks in pos
cars driving like idiots with cheap celphones up their...

i remembered that i took off today late at around 8am... the losers
with hangovers reappear on the streets around 10am. typically by 10am
im already done QD'ing the G, washed the dd's and taking a nice break
getting ready to go run some errands.

Sexay, Paul! Not my look (I reallllllly want the M7 anniversary one, but I don't need one so whatever for now), but it's hot!

Right now I have hair color working to de-blonde me, and then I'm going to Target to pick up a few things and my roommate and I are going to detail her car. Mine is already clean, just need to do windows and vacuum the interior. Hers has never been washed in 4 years of ownership...

Yikes ken - nasty sounding gash you got there.... gotta watch those umbrellas, they're tricky. And out to get us humans.

Chris - YOU'RE WELCOME.
It's only 229. Pounds sterling. Plus about a hundred bucks shipping. So, well less than a thousand dollars at current exchange rates.

And yes, it's crazy solid. You can grab the middle of it and shake the whole car - the brace doesn't flex when you do that, it just moves with the rest of the car. Try that with ANY other MINI strut brace... installed perfectly easily. I'll have to remove it to change oil filter, clean air filter, etc. But no big deal - six nuts, two minutes. One minute if I use my air ratchet.

But still pretty light... I shoulda weighed it before I mounted it, but wasn't patient enough... I'll weigh it next time I have it off. But it's not more than a few pounds.... all aluminum.

I plan to get the engine mounts and the cabrio tower braces powdercoated to match - then all my structural stuff under the bonnet will be that color... I think it will rock.
