Aero Kit Front Plate Bracket at OutMotoring

This is what I would like - Aero kit front plate bracket - the screws mount from under vs the front. It looks like this: http://gbmini.net/gallery/GBMINImods/RallyLights

But I can't find WHERE it get one. Have checked MossMINI.com and MINIMania.com.

Any ideas?
Hey ~ I e-mailed Aaron at OutMotoring last night, and he said he could add them to his site in a few hours, and would let me know about pricing if people were interested in this Aero Kit Front Plate Bracket. It looks nicer than a regular plate mount - will let you know what he says. His response was extremely quick to my question; here's the site for those of you not familiar with it:

Twisty Mouspad!

As some of you may know, I have a on-ste computer services business (just me). Anyway, I stopped by my parts vendor yesterday and, lo and behold, they had the coolest, MINI inspired mousepad!

Production Week 27 (July 3, 2006) Support Group-twisty-mouspad.jpg

The first thing I thought was I'd like to get one for everyone in PW27. It would be cool if we were all in the same city or could meet, ya know?

Anyway, if you are interested, I'd be happy to provide them at cost and even mail them. Don't know how everyone feels about sending addresses to somewhat of a stranger though. Also, I'd like to come up with some kind of flat price that could help cover mailing. You know like $5 or so. Not sure what a mouse pad would cost to mail.

ANYWAY, what do you all think?

That mouse pad is awesome. I would love to get one of those if you want to set something up. Just let me know, I'll send a few bucks your way for one.

The Mousepad Plan

I think this is the plan (and please let me know if you'd like to change/have a suggestion):

I don't think posting our addresses on a public website is a good thing. If you want a Twisty mousepad, send me a private message with your mailing address. I will reply with my mailing address. You send me $5 for each mousepad. I will package, address and mail the mousepad to you.

What say you all? I have one taker so far but it's still early!

So, I'm currently working on this feature. If you all could post or PM me your birthdays, that would be great! I'm most likely going to make ages display dynamically based on our birthdates.

Here are some videos for everyone's retina and ear entertainment:

MINI Cooper S

MINI Cooper S Works Edition

Mini Cooper S 2007 in Nürburgring

dominicminicoopers' 300 HP mini Video (this guy's on NAM and I believe he sold his car to someone here?)

My pickup day is Fri. 7/28! I can't wait! Only 4 more days of work! COUGH.

Hey guys!! I'm back!!!! I apologize for being quiet since Friday, but I was saving this post for something special. If you'll notice, this is my 301st post, putting me officially into 4th gear! And with my 301st post, I give you a few pictures of my new best friend, Nitro!!!

Here's the name tag my MA put on the dash

And my favorite pic from the day:

This car is soooo much fun!!! Everything good that everybody says about this car is true. It's so unreal that I actually have it now!!!

A couple notes:
- The people at Checkered Flag made the experience great. MORTRBL, you'll have a good time. Oh, and I saw your MINI in the back lot. It looks pretty good - you won't be disappointed!!! But I'm sure you knew that already I was going to take a pic, but I didn't want to run the risk of ruining it for you.
- The 4500 RPM limit during the break-in is tough to stay under!
- I've already gotten some head-turns from other people, and also my first wave from another MINI owner!
- The stripes totally make the car. I'm so glad I got them.
- I already have a crap load of brake dust on the white wheels!! But I expected that. The wheels complete the look I was going for, so I'll take the bad with the good.

Overall, it was a great day. I wanna go out and motor again now!!!

Turcicus, Nitro's so beautiful! Your post just revived today's dead thread. I can't wait to hear more of your thoughts as you drive Nitro more.

Very original on the "Hello, my name is.. tag" I want one too!

I'm picking up mine this Friday. So please, post more pictures to help facilitate the waiting!

Scooter, the stripes are the "sport stripes" that MINI introduced in April. I have always loved the look of a cobalt blue car with white racing stripes (the blue-with-white-stripes Viper GTS is my ultimate dream car), so when these stripes came out, I knew I had to have them! Sure, I could've gotten some aftermarket ones, but I really didn't want to worry about ordering them, finding a place to install them, etc. I just wanted to pick up the car with them already there. And I couldn't be happier with how they came out!

GBMiniGirl, you will absolutely love them!!!

Nobody told you???? Wow! I didn't explicitly ask, but I got the impression that both of ours came in on the same truck. Call Simon tomorrow!

I am going to try to pick up my car a bit earlier on Tuesday. I will definitely bring my camera! Wonder what kind of cool stuff they do in Sterling? I know I won't have the nametag as I'm waiting for my car to tell me its name.

Turcicus- congrats on your beautiful baby boy! The white sport stripes work very nicely!

For those of us on the west coast who have to wait a few more weeks for our minis, I hope you and the other folks getting your cars over the next week will give us the full scoop on what it feels like to take the first drive in your mini, what you learn about driving it, and so on. We need more than pictures - we need details for our fantasies!

crischun- for the spreadsheet: I am 37. [ when I referred to the mini in an email to my wife as the "MCS", she replied: "so is this MCS your MLC?" ]

Turcicus - The photos are AWESOME and so is NITRO! The name tag is too, much. You have a very MA!

The sport stripes look great with the blue. But, I ordered in June and they weren't available on MINIUSA...either that or ???

Regardless, I just want to get it, get in and MOTOR. So glad you are having as much and MORE fun than you thought.

CONGRATS!

EDIT: Curious about those sport stripe...definitley NOT on MINIUSA.com. Info please?

I love acronyms but this took me a second.

You are too young for your MLC!

Congrats on NITRO!!! That is awesome, and pretty quick too! I keep hoping that things will work in my favor so that I get mine early, lol, but who knows. How many miles were on it when you picked it up, and how many Motoring Miles has Nitro seen so far? I am so happy for you, and this is such a great feeling too since we should all start taking delivery over the next few weeks. :-)

Oh, sidenote, I just saw Cars tonight. What a great movie, and now I finally know where the quote in your sig comes from Turcicus.
