I checked the "order details" and it said an estimated time of delivery was 7/8/06....which is tomorrow!!!! I cannot wait!!!

Wow, that's soooo exciting!! Oh my!

 

I don't know if my MA will be in today, I just hope that the website status is correct. I don't see taking delivery until later this week due to the dealer having to check the car over and install an Ipod adapter. This is all assuming that it is at the VDC and is scheduled to be delivered either today or in the next few days!

 

I'm sure it's really close now though. How exciting. Maybe you'll have it by midweek!

 

I can only hope! I don't want to get my expectations up too high though. After all you know how long it can take for dealers to get up to speed on things.:impatient

Thanks for the great song miniprof! I'm taking a short break from motoring, so stopped by the house for a few. Of course when I tried to take pics, my digital camera was dead, so its currently charging.

And I don't have to call it "the MINI" anymore. His name is Tanner.

Oooh I'm so jealous that some of you have your cars already! I have no clue what ship my car left on. My MA at MINI of Murray could only tell me that it left on the 19, apparently, and should be at Port Hueneme on the 9th. That's tomorrow! Hope I can go pick it up soon! :D

 

Well, I talked to MA in Denver yesterday to let him know I've made my one-way flight plans for August 9th and plan on going straight to the dealership from the airport for pick up! He said Wednesdays are his day off so I won't be able to meet him, but he says 'Don't worry, we'll still take good care of you!'

He also checked his computer and said my ship is coming in the 9th or 10th to Port Hueneme! FINALLY! Although now it's a little anti-climactic since I know I won't pick Scootr up til 8/9. BUT still really great news!

And here's my funny little story for the day... Yesterday on the way home from work in my Highlander (auto trans) there was the inevitible screech to a halt during rush hour, and I was shocked and amused to find that my LEFT foot had come up then travelled all the way to the floor by the time I came to a stop, without me even thinking about it! (guess driving a standard trans IS kind of like falling off a bike) i just busted out laughing right there! When I told my hubby about it he just rolled his eyes :impatient and said he guesses I really am about ready for my MINI!

 

I'm home!!!!!!!!! I feel like I'm on some kinda high!

I am dead beat tired as I've been on the road since early morning. "Gypsy" is just awesome...I'll post photos in the am. She's more that I could hope for. My MA was super, he sensed my excitement & he was grinning along with me. I'll make sure to update our received list tomorrow too, I'm not thinking too clearly right now!

Tanner, great looking car and what a name! Was it inspired by the convertible top and all that sunshine in your state? My boys have named mine Nigel. It was either that or Tom Tom.
