Yeah, I just cannot see spending $1720.00 for an extra year of warranty or 25,000 mile more than the factory warranty. Just seems a little ridiculous.

Gypsy is one hot MINI! Love that color. I wish the Space Blue was available in the Cabrio, because I love that color, but Hyper Blue was a close second. Now that I have it, I'm loving it

Also put the rear bumper protection on and it fits surprisingly well though it's not 'perfect' once you get it wedged up to the rear flange it looks really good. That dishwashing soap/water thing is really the key though, took almost ten minutes of finangling to get it in just the position I wanted then I spent five minutes just going over it with that hard plastic piece to make sure there were no bubbbles. I took a couple pics of it if you want to see for a final check.

I gave up on the Aux. port for now. Not sure how I'm gonna get my hands back there to plug it in. Something to possibly work on for next weekend.
I would really like to see your pics of the bumper protection to see how you positioned it.

Plug the Aux port in before you bolt the shelf in your you will be doing it again next weekend. It is a piece of cake. The socket is "behind" the volume ****. Hosnestly, feel right around the corner when you have the shelf off. Took me "literally" 2 seconds to plug it in.

california week-23-ers

has anyone in CA gotten word of their mini since it started its voyage? i know i was on the Nada V which presumably landed on July 3rd...but i've heard no word since then; not w/ order tracking (still en route to distribution center) and not from my MA. (now blair at pleasanton/east bay mini...my 3rd MA as eddie left & i guess scott did too or passed on some of his inherited customers...)

so eager to meet my mini but barring that just want to feel a sense of progress...very antsy...

soothing words welcomed too...

congrats to all happy motorers! hope to join you very soon!

lulu, I'm sure your car will show up any time now - did you see all that miniprof went through with the wondering and waiting? And then.... POOF! Out of the blue it came!

My Scootr is coming into CA also, then on to the Denver dealership, but he's on the Fontana, landing today or tomorrow (confirmed with my MA). I'll be posting on how long it takes to change status, but I bet you'll hear something before I do since you're a whole week ahead of me!

I'm sure you'll hear something soon!

Hi Lulu. I'm not sure what happened with the cars that came in last weekend, but it has taken quite awhile for them to surface. Be patient (hard, I know) . . . my status finally changed last night to say that my car is in the VDC. I think the 4th of July holiday really slowed things down, but maybe tomorrow will be your day for good news. we'll all be keeping our fingers crossed!

Yea! Sylvia is almost home. Make sure to tell her Tanner says hello and he misses her, but that he's in a good place.

Tanner and Gypsy both look great! Congrats! Hope our friends out west see their mini's arriving soon!

So Sunday I passed my first mini in Minitenango. Another BRG none the less on a small side street, I did a very enthusiastic wave and didn't even get a smile from the woman in her BRG cabiro That is what we call a RUDE BETTY here in IL!

DS/B. I swapped out the grille for chrome. Made all the difference in the world.

That was a great post about your road trip. My wife and I bought a book yesterday about odd little sights in Ohio. We are going to start visiting them and for what we are dubbing "MINI-vacations"

Hi Jayne,

Gypsy looks awsome! The chrome grill is mighty tempting, I might consider that as a future mod. Now, doesn't it seem like ages ago we were all wondering what boat we would be on and where in the Atlantic our little cars were? Soon all of Production week 23 will be out on the road, where we belong. Congrats

I must admit that I have experienced much of the same here in Northern NJ. Of course I'm looking for Mini's all the time. There was an exception, as I was going past the Mini training center, I got a nice wave, big smile and the thumbs up from a fellow motorer. Keep the faith - wave on

Jayne - why aren't you out motoring? Gypsy might get restless and go adventuring on her own! She's a bit of a scamp, you know!

where do I find the...

Where do I find the estimated delivery date? I looked on my order details but didn't see anything there. My MA says very soon. But doesn't have an exact date yet.
I can't wait to be motoring... Seeing all of your new babies is awesome, but killing me. I guess I will just have to work on being patient!

Hi Maryanne. Mine showed up on the order detail page the same day that my status changed to "at the VDC". Have you tried called Waggoner's trucking?

I wish! Darn job!!!!!!! And are you saying she's a little loose? I think she is! Heehee.......
I just went down to our vending machines & I can see her from the door...she was calling my name, but alas I don't want to get fired just yet, so I'm back at my desk on the remaining few minutes of my break!
