May I recommend the chrome grill. It makes the front of the MINI look FRICKIN' AWESOME!!!! Pics coming soon.

My friend and I put a coat of wax on it today. Since we picked it up so quickly it never got the dealer detail, which is fine with me. I took some pics. Will post tomorrow.

Took the in-laws to the ice cream shop. 4 adults fit nicely for short rides. They live on a cul de sac. While we were pulling back in I did 3 360's. Just about made my mother-in-law and wife lose the ice cream they just ate. :impatient
But we all had a good laugh.

I think my father-in-law is jealous of the MINI.

 

Congratulation to all of you that have recieved their Minis they look great, as for mine I just received a call from the dealer requesting my programmable options they also told me that my Mini should be arriving at the dealer between July15-July 20 two more week of waiting , maybe less . Oh well, I already waited two and a half month, what's another two weeks?

My birthday wish, kind of came true. I got an email today from my MA. I will be picking up my MINI on Saturday afternoon!! Finally!! She is still very reluctant to talk programmable options so I just flat out told her what I wanted. But at this point, who cares. SHOW ME THE MINI!

 

Yay...another coming in soon...I know how excited you must be! Just wait til the last few days....I'M A WRECK! I have no idea how I will sleep these next few nightes!

 

Cool...I have Mike Kost, he seems like a good guy too. He emailed me quite a few times Monday & today getting the details worked out about pickup this Saturday. I agree, they are very busy. I can't believe I had to make an appointment with an exact time to pick it up. The experience buying any other car has been soooo different

 

Well good news on getting a date to pick up during your birthday week!
Good....just let her know what you want & make sure she does it, it's her JOB!

I registered for MITM last night, my own personal reward for having to wait so long for Scootr. I'll only be able to spend one day there, but think it'll be quite a thrill to be part of a long line of MINIs (and Minis) motoring through the beautiful Rocky Moutains on only my 3rd day of ownership!

 

Let's hope mine is the third for Sat.

 

I got a call from my MA after I emailed her and requested some information. After talking with my MA she informed me that my Mini is at the VDC. She told me that it would probably be about 7 more days before I could take delivery! She told me that she would contact me later when it got a little closer to set up an appointment.

FYI...what is with the mod of exchanging the oh crap handle above the driver side door with a visor...you mean that it doesn't have a visor installed already?....

I can't wait until that day that I get to drive my mini out of the dealer...I will take pictures!

 

Let's hope you get yours on Sat as well. Since ours finished production on the same day, its only fitting that they go home the same day.

 

The finance guy there (can't remember his name) is real nice too. He didn't even push the extended warranties on me. Actually the main extended warranty sounds like a good deal but... ehh.

Well, how is everyone sleeping? Not too well, I suppose Those of you picking up Saturday must be bouncing off walls by now.

Nothing new for me. Went to the dealership yesterday to look at tint options and my MA showed me his daily printout. Penelope is on the top of the sheet, showing that she should have checked into the VDC over the weekend, but no word that she actually has. ARRGGHH!!!

 

What the heck? I feel for you!...she's playing hide & seek & it's not funny anymore. She is going to be grounded. Well only for a minute, since you will have motoring to do when she arrives!

Thanks, Jayne. I'm alternating between - "well, she'll show up sooner or later", and "I WANT MY MINI NOW!!!!!". Yesterday I was so down about it that I wanted to just go to bed and put the covers over my head. Then I drove a MINI when I went to the dealership and I'm not sure if that made things better or worse!

 

Just curious - what does your online and ASK-MINI status say?

 

I know i'm gettin real ancy. I think i had a sort of nightmare last nite. I dreamt that I was gettin my MINI and I started it, but it didn't sound like a JCW is supposed to sound. It just sounded like a regular MCS, not that that's a bad thing. But it didn't have the extra sound.

Then i woke up.

 

Nice list, be curious what you think of some of those mods. Thinking about the front mudflaps myself, post a pic when you get them on.

I have the rear bumper strip also but haven't put it on yet. Mainly because I have no clue what to do with the bag of greenish liquid that came with it. Any clues you can let me me in on?

Got the Aux audio myself, haven't put it in, gonna wait until I install my euro parcel shelf.

And since I'm on a question roll, the silver front turn lights. I'm thinking about adding angel eyes but some instructions say you need to take off the front clip, others no... your thoughts on difficulty?

 

I think I will be putting on the bumper protection tonight. Green stuff is to put in a bottle with water and use as a lubricant so that you can adjust once you put the bumper protection in place. I put the aux input in the parcel shelf as well. You can't even see it unless you look. Nice and clean.

I will post a pic of the mud flaps when they get installed. I am going to pull the wheels and do the lower slat of the chrome grill and the mud flaps at the same time.

I like the idea of the angel eyes but I have no idea about the front clips.
