Got my Clubman S today

Here's my impressions:

Nicely put together although I don't like the window rattle when I close the doors. Really nice interior materials.

Lots of room. Narrower than my Ford Focus but it gives me more leg and about the same headroom. I cannot believe I'm 6'8" and fit in a Mini!!

Drives nice; nimble, good acceleration and great brakes. I haven't got on it yet as I'm going to try to observe the breakin period

My buying experience was nice. Bought from Mini of Concord for 1250 below MSRP (ordered about two months ago). They threw in some nice rubber floor mats and I actually won a $500 roof graphic in a contest which they will install for free. Nice folks.

My biggest complaints have nothing to do with Mini per se.

1) THAT DAMN SEATBELT CHIME!!! My goodness, there has to be a way to disable that. I cannot even sit in the damn car and listen to the radio in my garage without BING BING BING! It doesn't even wait for a second before it starts.

2) The damn headrest is too far forward. Why do the safety ***** have to give me a crick in my neck. I can't even enjoy the comfortable seats without thinking about how my neck is in a weird position and beginning to hurt. I know they changed this requirement not too long ago but I hate it!

Oh yeah, almost forgot. What is up with the felt wheel well liners? Seems like a bizarre material to choose for an area that gets hit with mud and water.

I'll post pictures later.

I picked up my Clubman S about two months ago. Finished my break in mileage at MINIs on Top. Agree with you on headrests. Windows don't rattle; when you open the door they drop about 1/4 inch; when you close it, they return to normal position.

If the windows are rattling, that's a defect. Ask your dealer to fix it when you take it back for its first service (or sooner if it annoys you).

Enjoy the new ride! :-)

Congrats Budoboy!! I hope you enjoy the clubbie as much as I am enjoying mine!! I agree about the window rattle... I think maybe your window isn't doing the dip?
I hated the headreast too so I pulled them out and reversed them, now I love them..

Happy motoring
