Whoa guys! I'm from the have your cake and eat it too school. This is a "support" group and that means different things to different people. I appreciate Dwell's deep cleansing breath approach and I understand the overwhelming anticipation and need-to-know of others. I think I fall somewhere in between. It's all just been a bit of fun and release for me. Gives me a place to talk about my MINI as my friends and family are quite sick of hearing about it.

Let's not make it personal.

Previous comments made tongue in cheek of course. Everyone copes with things beyond their control in their own way. I didn't mean to say that Dwell literally had his fingers in his ears. Of course I ordered Nav on my JCW Clubman because I am an information junkie so I like to know where everything is and when I'm gonna get there!

Replacement...

Hey all, looks like my replacement MINI falls into the Week 41 category... Anyway, it was ordered from MINI of San Antonio too, so we'll see what happens.

This isn't my first one though... A little tragedy befell me on Sept. 6th:

And finally, what hit me (2007 Lincoln MKZ):

Oh well, can't wait though!

Ouch! It stings just looking at those photos. I hope you meet better drivers with your next one.

Welcome to the party.

Yeah... tell ya what though, the MINI held up like a champ. My girlfriend an I were perfectly fine (I was going 40 MPH). The old lady (87 frikin years old) had her airbags blow.

Still, I miss lil' old Sebastian... :'(

Swflaboy I'm down with a Ferman Mini takeover lol. My girl and i will be going up there either on a Tues or Thurs what ever is closer (only days i have off)
My OL was the same way. Then I would use the automated line and get a different answer. Then I would talk to a live rep and get a different answer. I went from waiting for production to on a ship in like 3 days. Made that part of the experience less painful.

We will probably have to pick up on a Sat due to work. But we (me, you and SrqMiniJcw) have to get together for some show and tell.

I was able to see their clear-bra work on black BMW and it was very nice. Still deciding on tint and stripes.

It's a shame but glad you are both OK and you'll be motoring soon!

We got 3 mini's from S.A.

If I" not mistake mostly all of our minis should be completely done as of this past weekend, so our cars should be enroute to port or preparing to be routed........ again, just a guess....
Anyone gotten any info. on what timeframe we may be looking at MAYBE getting the cars in the general area, I'm estimating about 25 days from build completion.... S.Antonio MIni I believe get their cars through the Charleston VDC...... BTW; those of us w/ MINI of SA, your thoughts on the MA's there.... I have Robert as my MA, I had also dealt with Charlie (first visit was cool, showed me his personal mini and bluetooth, etc. Really nice guy)....but he was on a trip when I ordered my car....
BTW: WAR and Gadgett, including myself = 3 minis from S.A...... I"m not getting 3 minis..........yet......

My MCC leaves on 10/15

Hi

My CR MCC leaves Southampton on 10/15 aboard the TORTUGAS.
Will arrive Brunswick, GA on 10/28.

Anyone's MINI booked on this voyage?

No idea when it will arrive to Ferman MINI of Tampa.

It should be ready before Thanksgiving!

Glad that most of us are hitting desired shipping dates...mine is booked on the Turandot, hopefully departing today, getting to LA on 2 November. Time to start shopping for some accessories.

Coopdy or any other Pacific/Mountain time folks make it on the Turandot also?

Yup - according to ASK-MINI, mine is done and ready for transport. The OL still says I'm entering production, but we know that it's up to 2 days behind on status. Anyway, my MA doesn't have any more deets but I hope to be on a boat soon (my car, that is).

I'm working with Rob at MINI of SA. My original MA from my first MINI (3 years ago) is no longer with them, and I kinda just bumped into Rob while waiting for a LOF on my '06... the rest just sorta happened (ha!)

Here's hoping for a safe and speedy voyage for all 3 of us!

Just got an e-mail from our MA about my wife's MCCS. It left port yesterday on the Caribean Highway and should be in Charleston SC on Oct 23. Woohoo!

Tortugas=Turtles

Since tortugas is the spanish word for turtles, our vessel may win the race to the USA.

Yes, we may have to wait less time.

Enjoy your next 3 or 4 ? weeks.

Are you planning to buy some accessories during this time? Like badge holder & badges; floor mats.. or is you MA including them as a gift? License plate frame ; a new ipod matching you car color?

MA actually included floor mats (shhhh don't tell anyone). Only purchases so far are Carbotech ceramic brake pads and Zymol wheel wax. These are more of a present to me as I will be washing the Mini! I haven't thought about any other accessories. I have a few weeks to research.

Hey all. I found a link to the Caribbean Highway location. Looks like it is just past the southwestern tip of the UK.

Mine is a little less than that but I have an MCS not a JCW. I am right at $850 with somewhat higher coverage, lower deductible. My quote also includes a multi-car discount, 40+yo male driver and no accidents/tickets.

Mrng. I have a quote for $688 (1year), 100/300/100 w/ $500 ded. 1 tix and no accidents, mid 30's...... oddly enough, the price quoted is exactly the same price as my current 07 Honda (w/ U sa a... ) btw: for what it's worth, I used to have Allstate many years ago......what a ripoff.... amazing the differences on prices that you can get...when I swited from allstate to U sa a, exact same coverage made a cost savings of over $700 in a year....

If I ever figure out what ship my car /gadgetts car/War's car is on, I'm thinking that the Texas cars are more inclined to be playing horse shoes.......LOL!
