She's headed for Classic MINI in Mentor, Ohio. My MA told me it takes approximately 7-10 days once the MINI arrives in the states.

Hopefully your mini made it on. The Southern Highway is a K-Line ship, so it'd explain the lack of W&W tracking info. I've got my fingers crossed for you and gadgeTT.

Hey Gadgett, just got this email in......don't have the time to lookup which ship that is that will be docking on the 30th...so I'm not seeing any reason yours isn't on the same ship and timeframe ......


Your MINI Cooper Clubman’s status is “In transit to VPC”, and it is schedule to be arriving there this upcoming 30th after that it will be about 10 days aprox. for its arrival to San Antonio.

That's great! If the W&W Tracking system still isn't showing anything, you're probably on the Southern Highway too. The K-Line schedule shows it arriving in SC on the 30th. Our mini's are probably on the voyage together.

 

Southern Highway is kinda an appropriate name! Mine will come from Charleston to Nashville. A few dealer adds (sport stripes & driving lights) will add a couple of extra days.

 

I don't know if this helps anyone, but I finally found my ship. Boy was I surprised to key in my VIN # and finally get a positive response from W&W. W&W Tracking shows my clubman booked on the Don Pasquale Voyage #ED842-DOP. My mini arrived at SouthHampton on the 14th and was booked on the Don PAsquale the same day. I went to the LIVE AIS SouthHampton website and found the Don Pasquale arriving at SouthHampton right now. Fun to watch the ship coming in. What I don't know is how to get when the Don Pasquale will actually leave for the US. I guess now that I have found the ship, I'll just keep watching it to see when it leaves.

 

From my MA last night - K-Line - Southern Highway - Actual Departure 10/17/08 - Arrival CHSPOA 10/30/08! Should have my Clubman around 11/8/08! Now we're gettin' somewhere!

 

The OL still says "Awaiting Transport", the ASK MINI guys still say "on the docks awaiting a ship assignment" and my MA still has no info.

I'm begining to think my MINI is never going to start its trip over the sea. Of course, I could be pleasantly surprised to find out that mine is on the same ship as yours and is already half-way here, but that's highly unlikely. I guess I'll pester Sean again today to see if they can dig further or at least tell me why mine is being delayed for so long.

 

gadgeTT - my OL still says awaiting transport - askMini yesterday said it was still on the dock, my MA said it was on the dock as of last Friday, BUT when I talked with my MA yesterday his latest update stated it was on-board and shipped out on K-Line on Friday the 17th. confusing and frustrating - hope yours is on the Southern Highway with the rest.

 

I can understand the OL and ASK MINI status being wrong since their info supposedly ends when the manufacturing process is complete, but your MA's info was stale by nearly 4 days? *sigh* I'm hoping that I'm in the same situation and am already in-transit on a K-Line ship. My VIN still doesn't show up in the W&W tracker, so this is a possibility. If not, my poor little MINI is left all alone on the docks waiting nearly 2 weeks for a ride with all of my wk41 buddies having already left. Talk about no luvin.

 

Just called MINI of SA. Sean (sales manager) is off today, Rob (my MA) isn't in yet. Spoke to another MA. He didn't have any new info but added that mine should hit the next ship (several have already left since it's been waiting at the docks) and it may be up for 4+ more weeks before I see my MINI. Why did mine have to be left so far behind?

 

Congrats on making the boat! You can track the vessel schedule on WW's site, just choose the voyage number once your vessel pulls up from the tracking info.

FINALLY TODAY, the OL changed to "EN ROUTE" status, even though I already knew my car is on the "Southern HIghway" (not 100% sure though, but most likely guess)....car is suppose to be at vdc on 10/30/08....

Gadgett, u check the OL yet? did ur status change?...if so, then we should be good on the highway and on track to get our cars on/around Nov 10-14 timeframe....

I think the MA yesterday was too lazy to really look for info.... if not Rob, u should talk w/ Charlie, he's always been a plethora (is that a word?) of information!... he usually is who provides more info. than I usually expect!...It just doesn't make any sense to have your car still sitting there?.... that's just inefficient planning... if you can have a group of cars that are heading in the same vicinity, you try to keep them together, etc... cheaper that way for transportation, etc...

MINI of SA opens at 8:30 and I'll speak with Sean (sales manager) today to try to get the real scoop. It really is starting to worry me that it's taking so long to get from "completed" to "en route" status... nearly 2 weeks already. I must be cursed.

 

FWIW - OL changed to enroute just this AM - been on the boat since last Friday - a little slow to update?

 

Just spoke with Sean (sales manager) of MINI of SA. Confirmed that my car is still just sitting at the docks with no assigned ship and it could be up to a month out from delivery. I'm really feeling like my car got forgotten about or left behind as cars built after mine on en route. *sigh* This is taking a lot of the fun out of the purchase. I only hope that driving the '09 will slowly replace this bad experience.

 

DARN! that is very frustrating and weird !.... doesn't make any sense.....

 

Yesterday-awaiting transport....today-enroute! Anybody know what ship?
