Week 41 Support Group

I didn't see it on here yet and maybe it's a bit premature, but I'm so excited I couldn't wait! I just talked to my MA and he put me down as a Week 41 build. I'm going in tonight to Crown MINI of Richmond to put down my deposit.

Anybody else out there?

Well, I guess it was premature. I placed my order and immediately got bumped up to week 40. So, I leave the week 41ers in good hands to join the week 40ers.

Can't wait for some week 41'ers to join, that way I will finally feel like I'm ahead of someone -- though we might end up on the same boat anyways.

Welcome week 41'ers and feel free to check out the week 40 support group as well since we know what you're going through.

Hello everyone! I just called and was told I'm production week 41. Looks like I might be the first of the week 41ers as I'm pretty sure I saw bhelton in the week 40 support thread. I can't wait until I've got some company in here.

Congrats, getting a Week number certainly helps and is another step towards actually receiving your MINI. So far (as a Week 40'er) I have found that we do not get VIN's until the car is just about to start production, so perhaps a day or two ahead. Also, even a week before your car is supposed to enter production, no further information is available as to the actual start date. So as best as you can, settle into the wait a little and watch both version of The Italian Job to help pass time (though it does build more excitement) . Welcome aboard.

Looks like I am a week 41 also. Called and talked to a live rep today for the first time. Guess my week 40 wanna-be pass has officially been revoked.

Welcome to the waiting game! I was in fact bumped to Week 40, but like Coopdy, I'm happy to stop by the Week 41 forum and help support fellow NAMily members. Ours are due to go into production next week, but as of yesterday, we don't have any more details. Probably won't until maybe this weekend. So you guys can probably look forward to next weekend!

I just called and the lady told me my MINI is scheduled for production, but there's no information about when. I asked her for a week and she just told me that there's absolutely no information in the system and apologized. Is this just a case of some customer service reps being less competent than others? Previous reps have been at least able to give me a week.

Looks like I've been bumped back a week, so now a week 41'er. My MA originally told me I would make the 39 build, so definately a bit bummed. But I'll forget all about that when it finally goes into production.

Glad to have you all in here with me. I have only called and spoken to a live rep once and he said week 41. I am limiting myself to one call a week but I'll call tomorrow and check.

Well...I was originally told I would be in Week 40, but after a week of hoping ASK MINI was wrong or it would change, it looks like I am now in Week 41. Hopefully one more week till launch.

Welcome everyone! Glad to have some company.

I'm sorry to hear you got pushed back Folic Acid. Who knows, you might end up on the same boat as some week 40ers. Speeding between stoplights only helps so much.

I called again today and the rep told me again that I'm week 41. I'm planning on not calling again until this Friday.

I am trying my hardest not to call, but I do. I call it my DDOD...Daily Dose of Disappointment. I hope that it goes fast once we start building.

Got BUMPED from week 40, SO HELLOOOOO EVERYONE!

hello,
i used to be on the week 40 side, just found out this mrng that I'm now on the week 41, sure seems like a smaller group!!!!

I had stated on the week 40 thread that it might be a good thing to be on the week 41 side, give congress enough time to figure out what they want to do on the economy since no one might be able to get a car loan at the current rate congress is going!!!!

we'll: long story short, i'm ordering from San Antonio Mini and have on order a PW/PW/B clubman......

Welcome and glad to have the company. I called for the second time yesterday and they again confirmed I am week 41. Lets hope that doesn't slip backward!

I applied for my loan with PenFed and got the 4.75% the day before I ordered. Not to worry, there is still financing to be had but it may take better credit scores to get the best rates.

The economic climate has me a bit on edge and my partner's employer of 27 years (Wachovia) just got swallowed up by Citi Bank. We are hoping it's a good thing but only time will tell.

I'm happy to be joining the Week 41 Support Group as well!

Just a quick survey - how many of us are replacing a previous MINI? My '06 MCS is getting updated to a shiny new 2009 MCS. How about you?

BTW, anyone else in this prestigious Week 41 group also getting theirs from Mini of San Antonio? I live in Austin and while I can't wait until we finally get our MINI dealer (within the next 5-8 months, so I've been told), this will be my 2nd MINI from Mini of SA.

Hi All! I'm a week 41'er as well (I hope). I'm trying not to call MINI everyday, but it is hard. My old car needed an engine replacement in late August, so I'm riding my bike a lot these days and dreaming of motoring again.

Nube question here...I have seen alot of the cartoon Mini drawings that are in signatures. Some of these are pretty custom. Is there a template somewhere that I could hop on this bandwagon?

has all the cartoon mini pics. depending how good you are with photoshop, customize it to your likes. i changed to a white roof, removed bonnets and added my wheels. i ordered a JCW Aero on mine, but not that psychotic to make a R56 JCW Aero kit on my graphic.

this one is the color badge:

Roll call for West Coasters. My MINI is in the paint shop so will be finished before week 40/41'ers however, given the infrequent sailings to the West Coast (Oct 13th), we may be on the same boat.
