First posting, long time lurker...ordered an MCSa, LB/W on 9/28, and was just told today by AskMini that I'm a week 41'er as well. Hoping it can sneak on board that 10/13 ship also!

Hoping PenFed doesn't raise rates before delivery. I'm replacing a '98 Accord that has become tiresome.

I'm in Arizona, so feeling the same West Coast pain...3 weeks on the ship, yes?

Yep, pretty lucky

My dealership (Mini North Scottsdale) has a pretty big allocation, I think, so they were able to sneak it in there and I got a prod number that day...I know I lucked out (crosses fingers)!

Kind of feel like I'm rubbing it in for those who've been waiting a while, here's hoping for a speedy delivery for all of us.

I caved and called again today. I was told about a daily production pack or something? She explained that it meant that my baby will likely go into production this week, and then told me that I am still production week 41.

The production week is when the Mini will be finished, right?

When did most of you guys place your orders? I put mine in Friday the 26th but it probably didn't get sent out till the 27th or 29th at the Sterling VA dealership near DC.

I haven't heard anything about a production number but I'd imagine I'm probably more a week 42? Maybe 43 D=

Order placed on 9/4. MA originally told me I was in their WK 39 allocation slot. Mini had me in Week 40, then pushed me to week 41 (still there as of this afternoons call)

Does anybody have an idea of how long it typically takes to get the MINI once production starts? My MA won't commit to an answer (6 weeks?).

My MA told me about 5 weeks from date of production until it would be ready for pickup (in Nashville). I'm sure there are plenty of variables that could swing it a week either direction.

LumpOfCoal: Do you mean you ordered your MINI on the 26th of August? I put my order in on August 27 and I'm scheduled for a Week 41 production (October 6).

Thanks! My pickup is in Albany, NY. I hope to have the MINI before Thanksgiving.

Did you order an S? I think the S models have a faster timeline, but my dealer told me to expect about a 3-month total wait (5 weeks before production and about 5 weeks for production/shipment/delivery).

Week 41!

Hi

I just called ASK-MINI and they told me that my Chili Red Clubman is scheduled for week 41. That is next week. I was told to call back on Monday or Tuesday to confirm.

It is going to be an exciting and long month tracking my MCC daily.

Went into the dealer last night. My MA was gone, but talked to the other while I oogled over the two convertables they had. He looked up my build and said it went into production yesterday (so a late wk-40?). Haven't updated the Owners Lounge yet though. Debating whether to confirm on with ASK-MINI as I don't want to be dissapointed. Will try and wait until Monday.

My status in the owner's lounge changed to "scheduled for production" today. My build specs are back. All options listed once again and correct. I called and they again confirmed that I will go into production next week.

Congrats to everyone getting their build confirmations. I was able to get a VIN today, still on track for week 41.

For west coasters, I looked at the shipping schedules, and there are two ships that look possible for us, the Turandot (leaves Southhampton on 13 Oct, arrives in Port Hueneme on 2 Nov) and the Don Pasquale (leaves Southhampton on 21 Oct, arrives Port Hueneme on 11 Nov).

Here's the link for the shipping schedules for West Coasters: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...pe=generatePDF

Here's hoping for the Turandot!

Whooooooo!

Just called ASK MINI and was told production has started. Besides that, all he could tell me was that it should be complete at the end of next week. The Owner's Lounge still says "On Order," but I'll trust the ASK MINI rep.

You can call your MA and ask for production number. Don't be shy! My MA said he would have it to me by Monday (ordered on Thurs) but he emailed me by Friday.

With that number you can register for the owners lounge and really start obsessing.

You might be earlier than a week 44.....depends on your dealership, their allotment and sales.

My VIN also showed up yesterday when it went into "scheduled for production". My factory ordered options were there also and now that window is blank again.

I called my insurance agent with the VIN and very happy to find out that my rates will only go up $80/year. Not bad going from a 10yo vehicle to new.

Hey all,

First post for me here. I just check with my dealer and my Lightning Blue S type is scheduled for week 41! It's great to have found a community like this one, hope to see you all around.
