Status update:

Looks like the OL status is running about 2 days behind for me. I found out 2 days ago that my MINI was complete and had already been shipped to the port. My status is as of this morning is awaiting transport.

I just went on WW cargo tracking and I am booked on the Tombarra leaving Southampton tomorrow and scheduled to arrive in Brunswick, GA 10/22. For my east coast week 41 mates, there is another ship scheduled to depart 10/11 and another 10/14. Hurry to the finish line!

I went with Pentagon Federal Credit Union (PenFed) and got their 4.75% rate. You can read about them here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=136362

Anyone can join. If you do not qualify based on employment or military experience, for $20 you can join the National Military Family Association and then qualify.

I see you are in Texas. There are some very low rates in your state at various credit unions. Use this link
http://bankingmyway.com/product/auto-loans to look at rates. Not sure if you can join any of the CU's with the great rates but it's worth looking into.
There are rates as low as 3.49% listed in Texas (wow!).

Thanks for the links. I'll investigate as I impatiently await delivery of my new MINI. I got a 5.75% rate from SSFCU in San Antonio back when I bought my first MINI in '06, so my hope is to get at least that again.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... even though I'm currently driving a pristine '06 MCS, I can't WAIT for my '09

I had an approval with PFCU that just expired. I'd applied back in the summer and didn't anticipate the wait for the new car would be this long. It's still 4.75% APR internet rate which is one of the best out there, but I actually found a 3.99% rate from another CU in Virginia. Gonna check it out for sure. It's not like I have any other distractions, like spending time at the OL site, right?

Ugg! I feel for you. Just a thought.....Maybe it's your security settings? When I pull up the OL (using this link https://ol.miniusa.com/) it prompts me:

Security Warning

This page contains both secure and nonsecure items.

Do you want to display non-secure items?

Again, no computer expert but maybe that will help?

"i pilot, i fly"

ok, redc40.... not sure I know what your underlying issue is ,but it sounds like u can't hit the URL? is that right?
questions:
-what internet browser are you using? ie. explorer or firefox (do you know which version? ie. IE6 or IE7,etc.
-have you at any time been prompted to install adobe flashplayer, etc.?
-you've tried to 'hit' the owners lounge from your work and home?
-any errors u have received if at all when trying to hit the owners lounge site?

I don't usually just jump into IT 'issues' but, I"m willing to help out a fellow week 41'er!.......sorry about all the questions, if you can answer, great, if u can't please just put in what u can....trying to diagnose .....

I'm finding the Owner's Lounge to be next to useless, at least in terms of vehicle tracking...they really need to fix that if it's supposed to be such a great part of the prospective owner experience.

That said, my MCS has completed production and is at the port, so looks like odds are in my favor of getting on the Turandot on 10/13. Any other Pacific or Mountain time zone week 41ers out there?

Yea, I finally have company!! My MINI has been sitting at the dock since 10/1 waiting for the boat, arrgghh. We'll hopefully be leaving in just a few days though. Here is a GREAT link someone posted in the Week 40 group:

I understand that comment about the OL. I basically used it as a starting point and called 866-ASK-MINI a couple of times a week.

Congrats and I hope you make the boat! I used to live in Phoenix.

Im glad Im not the only one who thinks the OL is useless. Doesnt tell me much and makes me more impatient than ever.

They say its 20 days to cross the ocean? Another week to put the Jcw Aero on?

Why the hell am I looking at the OL? Like staring at Xmas presents 28 days before X-mas.

Any other week 41 with ideas or sources please advise. All the best and Happy sailing

Shipping and tracking depends on your location

As mentioned earlier in this thread, this other sticky thread is an excellent resource and should answer most of your port/shipping/tracking questions: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=144057

As for shipping schedules, it depends on where you live and what port your Mini will be arriving at. Here is a link to one of the main shipping company's schedules:
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...pe=generatePDF

Our Minis leave from Southhampton, and then go to one of a couple of ports in the US. Not all ships go to all ports, as you can see from the schedule.

As an example, I live near the west coast, so my Mini will be shipped to Port Hueneme, near Los Angeles. There are 2 ships that my car is likely to be on, the Turandot (leaves Southhampton on 13 Oct, gets to port on 2 Nov) or the Don Pasquale (leaves 21 Oct, arrives 10 Nov). Since my car is sitting in port as I write this, I'm very hopeful that it'll be on the ship leaving 13 Oct.

If you live on the East coast, your wait will be substantially less. Hope this is helpful.

Thanks, and I hope yours gets here quickly also...you'll have me beat by a couple of weeks, I imagine. PHX to FLA...you lost some heat, but got some humidity.

My OL listing hasn't yet shown my options list, and still shows as "Scheduled for Production." I'm very thankful for sites like NAM, and for the people who share info on it...I would've had no idea about how to *really* track the car through the process. I usually called every weekday.

Today is the Birthday

Hi

I just called Ask MINI and my CR Clubman is in Quality Check and should be completed today.

They told me that it will be waiting a week to be shipped.

Now I need to figure out the boat and the shipping date and continue counting the days on the calendar.

Any other MINI's born today?

Yep! I called and checked the automated system and was told my baby was completed today! I'm going to call Monday to see if it's at the docks, and what ship it might end up on.

You should check out PenFed. Currently 4.75% - Found them on this site from others and locked in 4.25% a few months back before the economy etc..

So for anyone at the dock do your car's details show in the OL? Mine used and no longer do plus the MA filling in for mine who is on vacation cannot find any of the details on my MINI, egads! Everything had been correct and then the Anthracite HL fell off and the roof rails also fell off the list in the OL. Currrently nothing shows. Is anyone in this same situation? I wonder if things are just kinda in a black hole while the car waits at the dock... thanks!

Florida to Phoenix and back to Florida. So at least I knew what I was in for.

Mine have been there and then vanished multiple times. I pay no attention to it. I just assume that because (when the detail is there) it's correct it will be correct when it finally arrives.
