Still no word from my MA or MINI as to when my car will get on a ship or which ship it will be. The OL still says "Scheduled for production" and hasn't even been flipped over to "Awaiting Transport" let alone "En Route". *sigh*

Don't know if there are any restrictions on membership for that group. I've been a member for 26 years, and if you qualify it's the best insurance out there, period. Great low premiums, superior customer service and the incident settlement process has to be the easiest, most painless of anyone out there. Limiting their membership to a lower risk group allows them to keep costs low and they pass that on to members.

Tortugas is docking in NYC on the 23rd and Baltimore on the 25th. My MA told me the pre-delivery inspection for their vehicles is done somewhere in New Jersey, so that makes me think my car will disembark in NYC. Based on that info, he's crossing his fingers for a Halloween pickup for me.......

Glad to see another Turandot stowaway, looks like we're in the minority here. I also started a "All Aboard the Turadot" thread yesterday.

Need Help - I've been told we are week 41. Spoke with Mini today and confirmed that my car is built and sitting on the dock in SouthHampton. So how do I learn what ship I am on. I tried following the post that showed the breakdown of the process with no luck. Do I need to get this from my MA. Thanks

If your MINI is still sitting the dock, it might not have been assigned a ship yet. Your MA can help you with the tracking process, but they probably don't know anything more. I'm in the same situation. My MINI is still at the docks, and my MA told me the ship that my MINI will be on hasn't been released yet. I think all we can really do now is wait, and keep checking the WW tracking site.

Frag and jack..

frag and jack.... it might help just a bit for others to know which/where your believe your VDC/Port of entry, that will help kinda setup the 'flow' of the ship(s)... some of the ships (or all them?, don't know)... stop at multiple areas, this may help us all in getting a better idea if were all on the same ship or seperate ships. As an Example, there's three of us from Texas that are most likely also on the dock as I type this..... our cars will be going through the Charleston port if my memory serves me right... (all the mini's on the lot had the port entry listed as Charleston)....

Mine is also going to Charleston. The Caribbean Highway, Tortugas, Tombarra and Integrity have all come and gone since my MINI has been at the docks. I think this might be normal though, because I believe I read of a few that waited at the docks for a week and a half.

i Think i'm week 41...

hello everyone! I ordered my MINI S on September 6-ish at MINI @ San Antonio, TX. But my MA didn't tell me anything (or i forgot to ask) regarding the processing time and all. Though when I went back to dealer 2 weeks ago, he told me that mine will be built on 10/6..hmm..Anyways I found about this wonderful website this morning!!! (I was googling about "how long do I have to wait to get MINI) hahaha and I think i'm week 41!! so, nice to meet all the other soon-to-be mini owners!! :D

Anyone gotten any info. on what timeframe we may be looking at MAYBE getting the cars in the general area, I'm estimating about 25 days from build completion.... S.Antonio MIni I believe get their cars through the Charleston VDC...... BTW; those of us w/ MINI of SA, your thoughts on the MA's there.... I have Robert as my MA, I had also dealt with Charlie (first visit was cool, showed me his personal mini and bluetooth, etc. Really nice guy)....but he was on a trip when I ordered my car....
BTW: WAR and Gadgett, including myself = 3 minis from S.A...... I"m not getting 3 minis..........yet......
I don't know, some of the MA's at SA are a little... meh. No comment. Anyway, my status just went to "En Route"!! But once again, it's being shipped through K-Line...

Looks like you ordered it a week or 2 before mine... That is the day that my old MINI died... :'( Also, you might just possibly week 40. Don't bother with the MA's...

*sigh* MINI of SA told me yesterday that I'm still in code 155 (Production Completed) since last Saturday (5 days now)! No ship assignment and no trek across the water to me. This is so frustrating. At least if I knew I was on a ship and making progress, I'd be OK with a wait, but just sitting around doing nothing is very unsettling.

I also checked the AIS Southampton site and Sail WX. I saw the Tortugas is docked right now, and I also learned that the ship hasn't made any wx reports since last November when it was in Puget Sound. So perhaps we won't be able to track the actual ship progress via wx reports, but I just enjoy trying to find information like that so no worries.

Yesterday someone told me "Hope your transport vessel has better luck than the maiden voyage of another ship that left Southampton way back in 1912." I replied "If the Tortugas goes down I'll be singing 'My Heart Will Go On' for a very long time. So you'd better hope it makes it to NYC safely...."

The OL lists as "Scheduled for Production", the ASK MINI guy says that production is complete with no further info, my MA doesn't know anything, and Sean (MINI Sales MGR?) says that we're stuck in 155 "Completed Production" and doesn't have any further info as to when it will be shipped or on what carrier.

So... no news. Considering almost everyone else in Week 41 is already cruising on the open seas, I'm starting to feel a tad left out.

Don't worry, my baby is keeping your baby company on the docks. While all the other MINIs are getting motion sickness, ours are living la viva loca. It can't be long now until we get a ride.

Seems like I'm on the TORTUGAS

Lets' slip the Capitan some cash and see if he will cross the Atlantic today and skip Belgium and Germany?

I wonder if we get our Mini's in time for the trick or treaters to put shaving cream on our new cars?
