Week 32 Support Group
Thanks Doc, she is sweet and it was hard to walk out without her, but everything is legal now as she waits for her discharge papers. Just need to give her info to our insurance company Tuesday and wait for the few missing parts to show up!
Maersk Wind is heading for the big ditch, it'll be fun to see her cross it!

JCW strut brace, JCW sport suspension, JCW carbon fiber rear diffuser is still missing, but the rest of the JCW aero kit is installed. Front and rear mud flaps, floor mats, and the invisishield then she will be complete
So... Does anyone notice that their MINI's engine is a bit louder than other cars? When I first start it up, there's a pretty noticeable high-pitch whirr coming from beneath the hood. It goes away after a little while, but not completely. Is this just the normal MINI engine noise?
U are getting all the things I want...
heheheh
Luigi and Hilla look like keepers!!
And now... drum roll please!
.... introducing..... Bernard!!!
As promised (no ugly baby here), undetailed, bad lighting and all.....

I had so much fun driving home, but cringed with each bug splatter along the way.... will write more tomorrow, but for now I've got to go and study the owners manuals.

Well, we just got an update from the Maersk Wind, and she's reporting a position of N 12°18', W 044°18', which puts her way off the coast of Brazil. Man, I didn't know Gustav was that strong! That ship was blown 2000 miles off course.
Me thinks they made an error in their reporting. I think they meant W 074.18 Longitude . . .
well at least I hope so.
For those of you sending in pics . . . . WOWZER! GOOD JOB!!!

Hi everyone!!!
I just LOVE, LOVE every-one's pictures!! They are great, and all your babies are VERY GOOD LOOKING!!
LONG day.... but I have her!! She is BEAUTIFUL - pictures will follow tomorrow afternoon - I promise! (it's been pouring since I arrived home)
We left the house at 9:30 AM and arrived promptly at 11:00 for our 'appointment'. Our MA was with other customers (the whole place was buzzing with people!). Hubby looked around for a bit... finally MA says hello and lets me know that my baby was being bathed and will be arriving shortly!
We were directed to available the clubmans (there were 4) but they didn't have the color combo that my husband wanted - red, with the red rooster interior. I tried hard to coax him into something else.. but he wouldn't budge.
Finally after 2 HOURS, I was able to sit down with the MA and finalize things - I signed all the papers and stuff with the manager. After papers were signed, I got a crash course for a bit, and was finally on our way home at 3:00. I was STARVING and dying for my caffeine fix, so a quick stop into Mickey D's.. and I was on the way home!!
Once my car was delivered - it started to DOWN POUR.. so I didn't get to check everything over, but I did as soon as I arrived home, and it looks perfect!
I just now came inside from reading and playing a bit with the car. I LOVE the redwood Lounge leather, and the navigator/Computer system is awesome ! +1
Car handled really well in the rain, and I really didn't 'feel' like I was a little car until a big truck or SUV drove up next to me!
I already have over 100 miles on her.. and once I got home, I immediately checked how 'hot' the hood scope was.... and it wasn't at all hot.
+1
I also checked inside the foot well, and it was just slightly warm.. not warm enough to throw any heat... +1
Than I went 5 miles to visit a friend, and five miles back home - with the sports button mode ON. (it was off on my way home from the dealers). Pulled in the garage and felt the hood - and it was BURNING HOT!
I assume that the car engaged in the sports mode increases the heat...
There is a lot to learn with all the ***** in unfamiliar places, but I have to say - I just love this car! I broke down and let my husband 'try' her on the drive to my friends, and he is sold. He is planning on ordering soon!!
For me - it is so worth the wait... hang tight west coasters!!

oh, and both the other 2 babies that I gave up for adoption were on the lot!! The 1st, was a DS with the Redwood Leather - it was in the inside showroom.. looked GREAT!! (almost made me guess again
) and the other PW/B that had the sunroof was also on the lot - and really was a 'twin' to mine. I am sure some loving person will soon adopt them!
I really tried to get my husband to adopt the DS one.. but he is 100% sold on a red clubman - so he'll have to order... and wait!

I picked up my MCS today and boy, do I love it!!! It's everything that I was hoping for and more!!! Congratz to all those who picked up this weekend and for those of you still waiting, it is worth the wait!

Nice JCW sikamini....wow. I love the color, I guess when we do meet, racing is out of the question. Some day I will own a JCW.....
No pics yet, my wife was sick saturday so my son (I can't keep him out of the MINI) and I ZUMMED the neighborhood. She (determined by my wife) is more fun to drive than the old Triumph my dad had when I was a kid. The trans is great!!! I have not driven a manual in years and this thing makes me wonder why I have not. If my wife feels better we will do a mini MINI road trip and include photos.
Dadgum but that JCW looks nice sika.....

My 10yo son has been sitting in it more than us, he dreamed about it last night and got up early this morning to look at it...wants me to go sit in it with him right now. It his size
and I think thats why he likes it so much.....
West Coasters: We seem to have lost track of the Maersk Wind. Her last reported position was in error by the tracking site. I've taken a look at the voyage information from Wallenius Wilhelmensen. The Wind has departed Manzanillo Panama and is either in the canal or has exited on the Pacific side. I choose to believe she is now in Pacific waters . . . headed north to California.
Let's see some more pics.

Since your driving with your son we can get a big pic of the silly grin behind the wheel!!
It was hard leaving Hilla Saturday, and I do hope she can leave sometime next week! I had to take those baby pics so I have something to look at while y'all were driving your MINIs!!
I noticed a grin on a some of faces - Chugiakgirl , minilovejoy!!!!
Beautiful babies!
Bad weather here.. but still went out driving today. I just LOVE my MINI!! I was wiping the roof off.. and it appears to have a few little scratches on top, in front over the drivers side!!
I didn't notice that yesterday... and can't imagine any thing that would have scratched it.. this saddens me!!!
Anyway - we have a lot of rain - but I managed to snap a few pictures to post!!

Again .. really love the navigator/computer center. I have been driving in town (not a large bumper to bumper city) just a normal small city with stop signs and street lights. I am averaging 28-29 MPG!! That's AMAZING since my 4Runner got about 15.5-16.5 MPG.

Also.. +1 on the Anthracite Headliner... it matches really nice. Then the armrest - I thought I made a mistake ordering it because it seems it slides open.. mine stays tightly closed, and it's a good place to store my phone - but that's all that would ever it in there. Glad I got it though.. and now I don't feel I need to go through the hassle of changing it out.
