Yeah, the armrest is small inside, but the glove box is WAY larger than I expected it to be, so it all evens out nicely. I'm keeping mints and gum in mine. :D With the bluetooth on my car, I just leave my phone in my purse. I love the voice on the bluetooth dialing...sounds like HAL 9000 from 2001:A Space Odyssey.

Love you photo's chugiakgirl! Your interior is EXACTLY the one my husband wants (he'll need to order). Looks very sharp!!

The glove box is a nice size.. it works, and the small armless will make it so I don't keep too much junk in the car!!

Did I mention - I LOVE this car!!??

Ok - Chugiakgirl - what freebies did Markel throw your way. I noticed the rubber floor mats..do you like them? The front view with the roof up looks great.

We are as ready for Gustav as we'll be... are being told that we could be a week without power and so we've got water for our horses stockpiled and everything picked up that can blow around.... we moved the two vehicles that we cared the most about into the carport and the others are fending for themselves! Note how Bernard is nestled up against the wall and is hoping that his bruiser American cousin the Chevy will protect him from the wind and flying debris!
Will check in after the storm when we have power again! Congrats to everyone who is out driving.... awesome looking cars! Chugiak.... love the roof checkers!

Really great, love the interior, and your gallery is great!! The rooster red gives a very nice accent to the interior.

Be careful, it looks as if Gustav is not strenghtening anymore, but he is still a nasty storm. Our thoughts are with you, I've been tracking Gustav and I hope it just fizz's out quickly! Look forward to seeing more pics.

Thinking of everyone in the path of the storm!! May everyone be SAFE!

Anyone have any thoughts on what I should do about the small scratch/chips in the roof. Honestly ... they could have very well been there when I picked her up (it was pouring outside) and I could have easily missed it when I looked her over when I got home. I really can't imagine getting these scratches on my drive home. I tried to take a picture , but they didn't come out. It's not one scratch = but a small group in of scratches/blemishes in an 4 x 4 area.

Can you get it to the dealer? If it's just the clear coat, it may buff out easily.

Tinker and gbsim, can either of you get a close up shot of the driving lamps and how it penetrates the front grill? I'd like to see if they needed to modify the grill or if the bracket passes easily through one of the grill slots.

Will send pics after the storm. I LOVE the lamps, but don't like the white covers, didn't even think to ask at the dealership if I could have black ones. Silver would really be perfect to match the bonnet stripes.

I'm online for my last check. It's 8:30AM and the winds are picking up and gusting. My banana plants are shredded already. Power should be out at any moment and will probably be out for a few days at least. Things have weakened during the night so that's a good thing.

dealer is too far away.. I have been reading up on scratches, and going to try Scratch X and see it that helps it. I am sure the dealer wouldn't assume responsibility anyway...

Here is a close-up picture - which is hard to see details since it is all black and blends together, but the grill has been notched to make clearance for the brackets.

(notched out right above red wire )

Thanks for the detail tinker!

I've been trying to figure where Maersk Wind is and I think she is still in the Panama Canal. Antwerpen, a ship a day or so ahead of Maersk Wind has just reported in and out of the canal. Since no report have come in on Maersk Wind, she is probably still in the canal. The trip can take from around 24 to 48 hours depending on traffic.

Here is a webcam of the canal:

I saw a ship that looked very much like the Maersk Wind in one of the lock 20 minutes ago.

Tinker let us know how the Scratch X works.
Thanks for the remainder, I'll have to make sure I have my reading glasses when I pick up Hilla!

Woohoo... I've still got power!

I'd definitely take a lot of time going over the car at the dealership. Look at every section of the car in slow succession, including the interior.

I had some cosomoline staining on the fenders already (with only 8 miles on the odometer). It seemed like they got it off while I was there.... we'll see if it reappears. Also had them raise the hood and there were drips of cosmoline everywhere that I had them rub off with quick detailer stuff so it didn't go farther.

I'd recommend that you have them hook up your bluetooth while you're there.... you'll be able to talk on the phone on your way home handsfree to the kind friend/family member who brought you to the dealership and continually ask them "how does it look???" on the way home.

Also after one day, I had the flat tire monitor light come on. I had specifically asked the MA if service had checked tire pressures and fluid levels. I took him at his word, but after the light went off I found that all 4 tires were at wildly different levels (one at 21lbs and the rec'd is 33 for my tires). None of them was right or really even close....

Needless to say I'll be double checking all fluids before driving again!

Top of one tree down and one huge limb. Leaves and twigs everywhere. Flickering power so I'm hitting the send button!

Great news gbsim!!!

Now.. back to my scratch! I bought the Scratch X at Target, and started to use it, but upon looking MUCH CLOSER.. it's NOT scratches - but appears to be tiny, clear coat bubbles. (I can feel it). So, based on the fact that it was pouring as I was picking up my car, should I call my MA and tell him to make a note of it - that when I bring it in, they should try and smooth it - or should I just forget about it? I do have a tendency to make mountains out of mole hills... They aren't extremely noticeable.. but now that I know it's there I see it!

Here's our car still sitting at the dealers. It has stripes on it ,and it's not suppose to. We finally get to pick it up tomorrow!
