H8w*in, that is a slick lookin' MCS! Congrats! I wish that aero kit was available for the clubman. I'm sure it will be next year.

We picked up ZAZU almost a week ago and I've finally taken a few pics. There are more in the clubman thread as well as the clubman flickr pool.

Still waiting on our UJ side scuttles, should be picking those up tomorrow.

Cars all look fabulous! H8w8in, are you going to leave the stripes? I think they look sharp.

So, based on the fact that it was pouring as I was picking up my car, should I call my MA and tell him to make a note of it - that when I bring it in, they should try and smooth it - or should I just forget about it? I'd call him and ask him to make a note and check it later. Scratch X may not be something you want to use on a new paint job. It may just be some protective wax which was not dry when you left. He maybe able to tell you how to fix it, I think it sounds like a bad cleaning and finishing job. There is probably nothing wrong with your paint job and clear coat.

Niceeee!!!! If you don't like stripes have them take it off, and check you list of accessories, VIN, order numbers and so on.

Tinker -DON'T use the Scratch-X. Try some Zymol liquid cleaner wax; available at Advance Auto, Autozone, Walmart, etc. It is a blue liquid wax in a bottle. Apply per instructions, but - a very light coat with back/fore motion. If that does not work, then check with local professional body shop or detailer to get their opinion. If it is a problem with the clearcoat - contact MA and see if they can offer a solution - it maybe able to be buffed without repainting. Keep us posted...

Yes , they're taking them off in the morning. What's funny is I went by there on friday and they were not on it. I went by Sunday and they were on it , and I was like what hell is going on. It will be all good tomorrow afternoon. I almost told them to leave them on , but I liked it better w/o them.

How many people are patiently awaiting the arrival of the Maersk Wind ? (thankfully she was able to slip past Gustav - glad to see the storm was downgraded).

I'm on the Maersk Wind and I'm sure she finally made it to the Pacific Ocean.
I observed her (via webcam) go through the Miraflores Locks in the Panama
Canal a few hours ago. These locks are about 10 miles from the Pacific.

MA said that car got to South Carolina VDC on Thursday.
OL finally reflected that on Sunday.

Does anyone know if the VDC runs round the clock all weekend and Labor day or does it shut down during the weekend??

Thanks

Waiting on 08' MCSa PW/B Premium & convenience pkgs, flame spoke, xenon, black bonnet stripes, chrome-line interior, piano black interior.

Ditto for me. My MA thought my JCW would arrive at the dealer around 9/3 or so. Sadly, it'll sit there for two weeks.

For all you still waiting.. all I can say is that it IS worth the wait!!!

I have just over 200 miles on 'LUCY'. Yes, I finally named her!!! I had 3 names picked out, but after spending some time with her.. I was able to finalize it!!

I have read many threads that addresses so many issues (hot footwell, exhaust pipes, rattles, etc..) and I am happy to post that (so far - fingers crossed) I have none of these issues!

Thanks!

We really don't know about this weekend, my brother wants us to visit them in San Antonio next weekend (stationed at Fort Sam Houston), but its still up in the air. So, I guess the answer is possibly maybe yes.

Oh yea....when do you pick up Hilla?

San Antonio is a great place for pics, but even a better place for food! I'm jealous!! Wish we could make a trip down there too!

Yea to that....plus free room. I am trying to convince him to take his boat out of his garage so we could put the MINI in its place if we visit. I am a good brother.
