I got my VIN number today!

 

Another new 29'r here. I have been posting in the week 31 group, called Mini today and I am scheduled to complete production on the 16th. Nice being a couple of weeks early.

Chile Red S with white, premium, convenience, chrome interior, piano black, red color line, rear fogs, white turn signals.

I live just north of Fort Worth, TX.

I bet our minis will arrive at Rasmussen at the same time, seeing as though our completion dates are probably pretty close. Mine is suppose to be completed on the 18th.

 

Spoke with a mini person just now. He gave me a vin # a said that my mini is in the body shop.
I found a thread that talks about tracking your mini. I gives lots of info and a link for ship tracking. Here is the link.

My Mini is completing Production tomorrow. I live in Omaha NE. I wonder how much longer. I'm prepared for 4 more Weeks, I'm hoping for less.

 

I called this morning and production had started for me. I called this afternoon and the guy couldn't tell me whether I was in the body shop or paint... said the status codes weren't being updated properly at the moment. I'm cool with not knowing exactly where I am as long as I'm in the factory. Figuring out which boat will be the fun part!

 

Well, after I was moved to "Scheduled for prodution" on the OL this morning I called customer service and all they could say is I will begin production "some time this week, before the 20th ". Not super encouraging but what the heck. I guess I technically stay a week 29er if I start production this week but it sure seems like alot of you have started or wll be finished soon.

Maybe I'm becoming closer to a week 30er now but I'm sticking with this thread. I wonder how the scheduling is done because I've noticed I ordered before some of you but I will start production after....Whatever .
Theres no bitterness here I promise I really am happy for you early week 29ers.

Hi everyone. I was in the week 31 forum along with kefour. Today I just found out that I am in production, and I'm scheduled for completion on 7/19 or 7/20. That is way ahead of schedule for me! So... I am now hopping on the week 29 bandwagon.

Evanskarma, I think the scheduling really depends on what production slots your dealer had available. The dealer only has so many production slots per week so those are filled with either special orders or general inventory for their lot. If your lucky, the dealer will give you one of their earlier inventory slots instead of adding you to the end of the order list. So some people ordered later, but were given a gift of a production slot.

No worries though, looks like your baby will be born soon enough

Apparently last night was not a good night for posts for me.

I have a thought!
As each of us learns when their vehicle is actually finished (completion date) just copy / paste the list and put completion date beside your name on your post. That way each of us can keep the list updated and we'll know where the others are.

According to the nice lady at AskMini, my mobile command center is complete and awaiting transport. I tried the WW shipline tracking system using my VIN but nothing yet. Anyone else in this same "boat?"

 

Me too............I gather that paints dries rather quickly if all the piece are to be put together in order for a tomorrow completion. So we are born on 7/16, get QA'd on the 17th and then a train on the 18th?

 

I'm in the paint shop today as well. I'm hoping that production completed on 7/16 means all the QA work is complete as well. I really want to make the TURANDOT on the 19th though thats completely out of my control

it game me a much better idea of what's involved and made me realize what an amazing vehicle I'll soon be driving.

Make sure you have the sound on during the video... the paint process and engine attachment are definitely dramatic with the music.

FYI, it takes 10 hours for your Cooper to make it through the paint shop.
