Yea! I've been waiting on approval to be able to post. Lovely woman at ASK MINI told me I'm in week 29, and the build could begin "as soon as Monday, July 14." I'm so excited! It still has to make it to Memphis after that. But hopefully that will be quick. Yipee!

I've been reading several of these forums since I ordered, and am learning quickly about my soon-to-be-here MINI. I may have more, and I'm sure ya'll will have some answers! LOL.

I think I can speak for my fellow week 29ers in saying we are a layed back group just biding our time till we get VIN #s and on a boat heading west to the states.

I'm back! Just confirmed that I'm a week 29er. Been away from Mini for too long. Good to be back and have an R56 on the way to my garage!

I'm officially "In Production" today with a completion date of 7/16! I guess i'm still a week 29er since I don't complete production until week 29.

 

I ordered my Clubman S on 7/3. Status changed to production scheduled today, Mini phone line gave me the completion date of 7/16.

Clubman S Chili red, Black roof, Leatherette, Chrome in and out, Convenience pkg, Cold weather pkg, sport suspension, LSD, Xenon, rear fog, white turn signals.

Can't wait now!!

 

Yea! Called ASK MINI and Jude is now "In Production" with a birth date of July 16.... Huzzah!

 

I ordered on 7-1 and entered production on 7-10. Talked w/ askmini today and they said scheduled for completion tomorrow. Exxxxxcellent (rubbing hands together Mr. Burns style.

I'm a week 29er too! The automated system says I'm 'in production' and scheduled for completion on July 16!

Wow... so far it seems like all of us are scheduled for completion on the 16th. Maybe we'll be on the same ship.

 

Maybe we are Bi-Weeker...I was always under the impression that the week your MINI goes into Prduction is your Week, but lots of Week 28ers are getting ready to be loaded on the boat and the week still has two more production days. Lots of us 29ers have completion dates on 7/16. Anyways, come 7/17, all we are going to be worried about is what ship we are on. I believe K-line has a ship leaving for Charleston on 7/20...can we make it to the port on time.

I'm glad you posted your thoughts about which week we are in. Bi-weeker sounds right. I was going nuts trying to figure out where I belonged after reading todays updates regarding production vs completion dates.

Yes, it is my understanding as well that I am week 29 because that is the week my production was always scheduled to begin. Which by the way, unlike many of you all I have not begun production yet. MA and customer service told me production week of July 14th (29) when I ordered on June 30th. As of today, automated and OL does not have production dates set.

Anyway, I'm not changing my thread week. I'm comfortable here and have faith that I will be built next week and make the first boat to Charleston (where I live BTW).

Automated AskMINI says I'm scheduled for production with no confirmed date... the live folks say I'm Week 29 and "production might start on Monday." My order date was July 2nd, so I won't have to wait as long as some future motorers, but it's still agonizing.

 

After reading your post, I just checked mine. I have gone to "scheduled for production" as well . I also have my VIN number now. When I called Ask Mini on 7/10, they told me 7/16 production. I guess it could be 7/14 though. All we can hope for is that our timing is good to make it on to an almost full ship . FYI, I ordered mine on 7/4 .

 

Good news! Checked automated message this morning and I'm already in production and scheduled for completion 7-17.

WooHoo, I love this site! I just checked the automated system as well, and mine is scheduled for completion on 7/17 as well. Maybe ours will be next to each other on the line .

 

I think I was bumped up because they were tired of having me call to check my status everyday.

 

I just called the automated system and found out that my mini has entered production and is scheduled for completion on 7/18.
Time to start nesting - get ready for my new baby! I recently received a detailing kit in the mail from Detailers Paradise
(recommended on this site). Used the products on our old Subaru to get it ready for sale. For those interested, here is what I ordered:
Paradise starter bundle for $90 which contained Prima mystique auto wash, Epic protective sealant, Slick, wool wash mit, and several microfiber buffing cloths for wiping wax and drying. I also ordered Hydro for $13. So far I have used the Mystique wash, hydro, slick, and towels. I like the products so far, especially the Hydro which is a spray on wax that you put on the wet car and wipe off (easy!). I also like Slick which does a great job on windows. Towels are nice too.

Now I need to figure out ho to keep the cats off the car when it arrives. I am thinking about a motion detector called Cat Stop that emits a sound that cats don't like. I also may order a car cover. Any thoughts on this?

 

I was looking over the ship schedules. If I finish production on the 16th, I wonder what my chances of boarding the Turandot departing 7/18. The next ship to head to Port Hueneme after that is the Aida departing 7/29.

Crossing my fingers I get booked on the earlier ship and maybe i'll be behind the wheel for my birthday!
