Hi hunsingeruk. You really need to get the production number from your dealer. After that in a day or two you can see your status at the Owners Lounge after you log in with the production number. Also after they give you a production number, your MA should automatically be able to tell you which week production should begin.

 

my MA said they close for two weeks, and that they try to get as much done as possible leading up to the close.

I just want my Mcs made prior to the start of football b/c I'm sure they will be less attentive then

 

Well I guess we will wait to see what happens on 7/14....production or vacation I have been in "On Order" Status since 6/17 in OL. A 7/14 start would be nice.....then there is a slight chance the car may make it to me in the Midwest by Labor Day.

 

Before or after as long as they finish it before they go on vacation. I'd rather they didn't miss any bolts.

 

I posed this question of a shut down in a European forum and it was a majority view (all respondents) that it does not really shut down. The plant is fully staffed the whole year, but traditionally in July production stops for a few weeks as the plant does what ever they do - maintenance or whatever. I am in production week 32 and I have yet to see production weeks 30 and 31. So in the traditional sense the plant is not closed.

I just found out that I am a week 29er. I was told by Mini that my car would be delivered 5 weeks from now. Can't wait!

Welcome to the 29ers....I suspect since Week 28 is going to production tomorrow, we should get a few new folks here this week. So far it is a small group compared to the previous "Week" support groups.

Sounds like we have a few minis coming to the west coast. It will be interesting to see when they arrive. Here is a pic I found on line that is like my order. Also saw a LB today in a parking lot. I am feeling a little obsessive right now!

 

I think obsession is something all MINI Owner who order go through. I have scanned page after page of this forum and we are not the first, nor will we be the last.

 

I was told today by ASK MINI that my MCC is scheduled for Week 29. Final destination is Indianapolis, IN.

I just called Ask Mini... looks like I made it into Week 29!!! The lady on the phone said something about going into production I think the 3rd week in July.

OK...Ok....I'm still a little behind the 8-ball on this. Ordered at dealer on June 24. Now, I called today and they (1866askmini) told me that my car "entered production" yesterday ( July 6). Soooo....what "week" am I ?????

I would guess production on Sunday the 6th to be the last day of production in week 27, which would put you into the beginning of week 28 to complete. I heard that a car is completed in just a couple days.
