I was looking at a week 20 support group tread and saw that one person waited 3 days to board a ship after their mini completed production. So... I think you have a chance

 

Count me in for Week 29. My MA said my Cooper S will start production o the 15th. I wonder if that means she'll be on the Aida by 7/29?

First post here and still getting acquainted with all the great info. I plan to explore the shipping info later. Our Lightening Blue/White MCS went into Scheduled for Production friday, July 11 so I believe should begin production next week.

 

Just called the automated line and my completion date is July 16th! So, I wonder how long it will be before our MINI gets from Oxford, UK to Oxford, MS (via Memphis)?

I have not begun production as of 9:50 EST however I plan (hope) to call customer service tomorrow and be under production . If for some reason I do not make production in time to travel with you south east coasters to Charleston I will be glad to deliver to you dealership at no charge .

I drive past Charleston Port everyday.

Wow, I'm finally at the "Scheduled for Production" stage on the order tracking site! I was on the "On Order" part for just over two weeks. Its felt like an eternity.

 

I think we're on the same schedule hunsingeruk.

Finally...I just checked OL and I have moved to "Scheduled for Producyion as of this morning as well. I am going to call customer service today to find out details if any. Based upon previous posts it seems by the time OL says "Scheduled" you're actually under production.

Thats "Scheduled for Production" not "Producyion".

damn, it looks like I'm gonna miss the July 21st launch time of the Fedora by about a day:(

My Mini seems to have started sometime yesterday or last night UK time and the 8th day is the day the ship departs. The bad news for me about that is I have to wait another 8 days for another ship to head in the direction of new york. Sigh

 

Since mine is due to finish production on 7/17, I wonder if there is ANY chance that it could make it onto the TURANDOT , which departs on 7/19? I guess all the stars would have to be perfectly aligned for that to happen .

 

I may have spoken too soon! I just called ask-mini and they said they expect mine to be completed on the 19th! I think that technically makes me a week 28 by one day, but I might just stay here.

I will be extremely happy if my car makes it on the Fedora, on the 21st!

I still have my fingers crossed but I think we might miss our hopeful boats. I was just taking a look at the week 27 thread and found this in a person s sig:
Ordered 06.09.08-Completed 07.01.08-Sailing on Independence II right now-arrives 07.19 CharlestonSC

The Independence II set sail on 6th. the one before that left on the 3rd.

So if that is any indication, we might have missed it. Though it could be worse, you could have to wait 8 days if you miss yours, like me:P

Looks like i'm in the body shop today so I think that means i'm on schedule for completion on 7/16. I asked if I was booked on a ship yet, but the MINI rep said the vehicle will need to be at the port of exit before it gets book.

Congrats to all 29ers, its finally our week!

As I understand it, you week number is based on when you start production.

 

Should be born today, but what ship?.....what ship?
