I feel the same way rosco, usually I don't get excited about this kind of stuff.

I just talked to ASKMINI and my MINI is loaded on a rail car and headed to the Port

Still, she was the sweetest dog ever - to this day, my mother's favorite dog. Enjoy the car!

I feel your pain. REALLY.

Still "On Order," according to the OL.

Have you called ASKMINI and spoken to a live person? They will have more up-to-date info than the ol.

WoooHooo!

After my noontime lament, I got through to ASK-MINI and was told the car started production yesterday (6/29), with scheduled completion July 7th! So, I guess I'm a dual citizen of weeks 27 and 28 then, eh?

I would say the "born-on-date" -- when the car exits the birth canal (words used in the Owner's Lounge) of the production line -- defines the week.

My clubman, Fenway, is also scheduled for July 4. Yea! Maybe our cars will become friends on the swim over. It goes to Sterling VA.

My HC Clubman, "Count Chocula", is due to be built, well...today!! Anyone know/remember what the number of days that it took to get to the ship? There's a boat going out on the 5th and one on the 13th so I'm hoping it may make the boat on the 5th. Anyone have any thoughts?

Called ask Mini this morning. The Clubman was completed yesterday and is released to a Carrier. I guess that means it should be at the port today or tommorrow. Seems like that should be good for the July 5th boats. Now how to figure out which one.

I think it takes about 1 day. Mine was built on 30-June, and is at the port waiting on a ship as of today so that's about right.

To remind all or an fyi in the event you don't know about it, fantastic post:
How to Track your MINI: Revised, Expanded and Updated

I'm bummed. The MINI factory must have ran out of Dark Silver... I was told my car entered the Body Shop on the 26th, status 151, and tentatively was supposed to be completed on the 1st. Today's the 1st, yet status is only 152, in the Paint Shop, with completion estimated now for the 2nd.

I'm guessing the ship leaving on the 5th will be missed and the one leaving the 8th will be the one I'm on. At least it should definitely make that.

...this status visibility certainly adds a lot of 'fun' to the whole process!
Wondering, does anyone know of another auto manufacturer that offers this level of vehicle creation tracking detail?

I'm the same. Complete and released to the carrier. I checked the WW website to see if my VIN is listed as cargo, but not yet. I'm hoping the 5th ship has room for my clubbie!

Thanks Horatio!! I just talked to AskMINI and the car is finishing up it's testing phase so I'm hoping it makes the early boat.

My next question (total newbie I know) is how do you find out the name of the boat that your MINI is on?

Well, F! Just talked to ask-mini and they told me it looks like I'm a week 28er, not 27.

28. It's a good number, I guess. Still, it's no 27.

askmini told me I started production on June 28 but they did not a completion date. How long is the production process typically? Hoping to be born on the 4th but that might be a stretch.

It was 8 days for me from production start to finish.

I think I am really lucky too because I ordered on 21-June, started production 23-June, finished 30-June, and now at the port and awaiting a ship 1-July!!

I must have gotten one of the dealer's slots to go into production that fast.

My production started on the 28th as well (MCS) and I was told an estimated completion date of July 5th.
