AskMINI told me today that my MINI was in the Body Shop and should be finished 30-June. I'm not sure which shipping company it will go on though. But I checked the schedule for WW and if it goes that way it appears that the Independence II arrives in Southampton 5-July and then Charleston, SC 19-July.

 

And if it goes by the K-Line it should go on the Sierra Nevada Highway (Southampton 5-July, Charleston 17-July)

 

Found out today my mini clubman is in production! yeah! Didn't get a production date though.

 

double check the what the OL has listed on your orders! i was bored and looked at mine and it was slightly wrong, but figured i'd call askmini just to double check. i was told to talk to the dealer. that was a huge call because the manager submitted the build wrong! my MA said she would fix it. better to find out now then to have to get pushed back in production or even worse when i go to pick it up.

Ask mini told me I'm currently in production and completion date is july 4th. Born on the fourth of July! Yippee! (Now calling MA to verify status....)

 

For the record, the Owner's Lounge had changed to "Scheduled for Production" last night...finally. Running a few days late but did change.

 

I am in the body shop. Completion is scheduled for July 1. It looks like there are two boats leaving Saturday July 5 for Charleston. One is WW the other K-Line. I expect there are lots of us on this thread that will be aboard one of those.

I am also scheduled for production now on OL. July 1st completion date. Looks like the boat should be in by july 29th.

 

Found out today my mini will be completed on July 5th!

 

I am naming my mini "Glory".

 

I'm scheduled for a June 30 finish, too. I bet mine is in the line right in front of yours!

 

They are still telling me week 27 but no production date yet. I would think i would have a date by now since its this week. This is still a lot sooner than I expected, when I ordered I was told August build and September delivery.

 

We thought we were Week 28, but found out Friday that our Clubbie will be completed July 1. Hopefully she will make one of the ships heading out July 5.

 

.... and continuing along these lines, the wife and I [tentatively I guess] decided last night... we shall name thee Little Buddy [ Lil'Buddy ?] ... aka 'Gilligan'.

I have high confidence w/the added Nav option, I won't be getting lost on a "3 hour tour".

 

I just called 866-ASKMINI and they said my MINI is now intransit. Now its just a matter of figuring out what ship she'll be on.

I just checked again and now I have a July 3rd completion date. So close to the 4th .

 

For those of us completing production on the fourth, could we be on one of the ships that leave july 5th, or would that be too much to ask for?

Probably not. The sticky thread about production and tracking says:

"Once your MINI has passed Final QA, it sits for up to 24 hours at the plant and then is loaded onto a rail car and shipped 67 miles to Southampton, England for transport! Typically it takes about 36 hours for your MINI to arrive at the Southampton docks once you’ve passed Final QA. This is of course entirely dependent upon the freight train schedules which are out of anyone’s control."
