I've been trying really hard not to call Mini daily for progress. I figure now that he is in production, Bob will work his way through on his own schedule. I'm just happy to know he had been started.

Meg at AskMini (I should have asked for her extension cause she was really good) said typically 1 month from production to delivery. If she is right, 1st week of August is looking really good!!

Does your VIN # come up on the WW site? I was hoping mine made the Elektra too, but my VIN isn't coming up. How did you find out which ship?

Just checked WW site and my car is on the ELEKTRA today!! Due in NYC/NJ on the 11th. Then the agonizing wait for Count Chocula to make the trek up to Boston!!

 

If your vin isn't showing up on the WW site they haven't received the booking yet. So in that case, there's no ship that it could be assigned. Keep trying.

 

My MCS was scheduled to be completed yesterday, but as of this morning ASKMINI says it's in the paint shop with a completion date of 7/3. Maybe they ran out of Chili Red paint this week! Unfortunately I don't think I'll be making any boats on the 5th at this rate!

 

I think I'm in the same boat; pun is accidental . That being the 8th instead of 5th. Fingers crossed we'll make the 8th as I've recently read it can take 5 days to get on a ship.

 

Just called ASK MINI and the automated message said that mine Chili Red Mini (I grew up adjusting SU carbs on my MGs and Austin Healys so I got everything wood I could order) is in the body shop and will be completed July 4th.

I announced this to my staff and one of them was surprised that they were working on the 4th of July. I respectfully reminded her that this is not a holiday the Brits celebrate!

My chili red mini clubman is also in the body shop with an estimated completion date of July 3, a day earlier than I've been told all along. Yea!

 

I am now in the body shop but without an estimated completion date. Does anyone know when the next ship is after the 8th? (coming into the east coast)

Hello, my fellow Wk 27ers! Found out today that Maggie Mae is complete and awaiting transport to distribution. I sure hope that means she can make the July 5 boat. So this kinda makes our cars siblings, huh?

Well, she is at the port. She does not show in WW tracking. I guess we are headed for K & K limbo.

 

ASK MINI says the our clubman has been completed. Now we keep everything crossed it makes the 05JUL boat!

everyone's pretty much 'dual weeker' starting in one week and ending in another. Your call, whatever you feel best with I guess. I like to go buy whenever it's "born" myself, i.e. when it exits the production line...but if mine's pushed, say due to a QA problem, re-enters the line and isn't completed until week 28, I'm still gunna consider it a week 27'er... where it spent most of its time.

 

i just got confirmed for being complete on the 4th of july!!! hooray!! its an independence day baby!

 

I checked the WW site this morning. "Stella Blue" is booked on the Independence, leaving July 5 and arriving in NY on July 14. WOO HOO!

 

OH NO!! My production got pushed back, and it wont be complete on the 4th. It JUST entered the body shop and they are predicting it on the 7th now. Do you guys think it will make the boat to Port Hueneme leaving on the 10th?
