I promised myself I wouldn't track the car, I really did. And I picked this thread out of all the other support group threads, because 27 has always been my favorite number (it's my birthday, 3 cubed and my favorite old Redskins, Kenny Houston's, number.)

But last night, I cracked and went into the owner's lounge. It's been over a week since I ordered, so I thought maybe I'd get some info. Nothing!

Then today, I called askmini, and they told me I picked the right support group, because I'm scheduled for week 27.

I wasn't going to name my car, either, but if it's born on the 4th of July, I'm going to name it "Ron Kovic," and drive it by reaching out the windows and pushing the wheels with my hands.

True, but people are still talking about getting moved up, while I keep looking at fall delivery.

 

Just called and my JCW started production today. I finally got my VIN!! Looking good for a July 4th birthday.

 

866askmini scared the crap out of me today. Last week they confirmed what my MA had told me - that I was estmated for week 27. This morning they told me I was week 32. I had some conference calls scheduled at work so I didn't get to call my MA until a couple of bummed out hours later. He told me that I was still week 27, that 866askmini was an outsourced customer relations service and not to listen to anything they said. Whew. I was bummed and not looking forward to telling my daughter that she would not be getting my present car until after her school started in September (but mostly because I want to drive my mini).

 

It's really frustrating. I know I've been waiting a lot less time than some, but if the story could just make sense and be consistent, maybe I wouldn't make myself nuts. I've been "scheduled for daily production" since the 16th, with no further movement. In that period of time, between my MA and ASK MINI, my week has been anywhere from 26-28.

I'm going to go sit down now...

 

hoonu - what is ASK-MINI saying about week and delivery? Have you spoken to a customer relations person?

Hey everyone, I checked the owners lounge tonight and they seem to have updated - I even got to see my vin on the screen. I went today to see my MA, my wife, child and I sat in a clubman just to prepare!

ASK MINI's answer has ranged from "June 30th" (whether that was start or completion, I don't know ) to Week 28, to "I won't tell you anything." No kidding. I got one guy who literally refused to tell me anything beyond the fact that it was on order. Everybody else there has been very nice. It's apparent that there's a lot of play in the system, so to speak.

 

OL still has not updated for me, still on order. but customer relations told me it started today, it will probably be a few days before it updates for me.

Wow warev I can't imagine having waited as long as you. I only ordered 2 weeks ago and that seems like forever.

 

i'm still in limbo some where between week 27 and 28, which isn't terrible since i order last week i guess. hard part is waiting on that long haul to the west coast. the name Starsky seems to stick in my head for the little guy.

 

The wait has been pretty rough, but not unbearable, I spend most days on this forum and waiting for information to change on the OL. My wait will be roughly 4 months, not bad considering if I ordered now it would be 6 months!

Hoonu - that's pretty interesting that they will not give you a clear answer. I have never had a problem with ASK-MINI. Hoping you get a "week" soon.

 

i will second that the OL has been updated this it now shows the correct color for my mini but still listed as on order. i have come upon a great new way to pass the time. figuring out how im going to spend the mini payment i don't have to make for the next two months. that 22.5mm ASB looks pretty good right now. and a t-shirt! oh and an actual size sticker! gotta limit it to one item a week to spread it out...

Well the OL finally updated for me, and I got a VIN. ASK MINI says first week in July!

 

866ASKMINI said I was in production this morning - completed by July 1st! OL hasn't updated yet though.

 

Whoo Hoo... Got my VIN; car began prod on the 26th. Looks like we "Week 27'ers" are having our cars enter the body/paint shop in Week 26, with the car expected to be completed in Week 27.

 

ASK MINI just gave me more info... Clubman went into production on 25JUN and is going to be finished 01JUL. They said 4-5 weeks and I should have it. How does this compare to everyone else. Has anyone figured out boat or when they are picking up? Heading to the Philly area by the way.

 

Just got off the phone with ASK-MINI, my Cooper S went into production today with an estimated completion date of July 1.

 

I just checked my MINI Owners Lounge (which, by now, I should have my own table at since I'm in there so much..) and I do have a VIN #!! Now to call the MINI 866# for some date details...

Like you all....the wait...too much...must...warn...others...(that it's so worth it..)

Just talked to them. Count Chocula is due to be completed on July 1st!

What exactly do you mean by "get information"? Nothing was "sent" to me, nor was the Owner's Lounger tracker updated; it still reads "On Order". I called AskMINI and was told its current status. If you meant otherwise, sorry that I mis-understood your meaning.
