I hope she is Laser Blue. She looks great! Bob is Laser Blue as well, but with a white roof.

 

Wampa is here but not ready for delivery as he had JUST gotten there when I happened to stop by.

I am VERY pleased with the aero kit as I had not seen in person before ordering and the dealer had never ordered it on a Clubman either.

Tex Susbo - if you here from your MA when the truck(s) will arrive at Momentum let me know. I want to bring a camera to get some shots of all the new arrivals. My MA says they are trying to clear all of them by Thursday so the sales land in July. Should be a zoo!

ok this is kinda weird, when I look at my OL it says that my mini is currently at the VDC and the estimated delivery date is 7/25/08 but when I call ask mini, it tells me that my vehicle is at the port waiting a shipping vessel, are they putting my mini back on a boat or something?

 

Davidbod, will do. With 26 cars arriving, he said he was expecting a couple of late nights for delivery. Hopefully, we'll be 2 of them!

 

No, ASK MINI is wrong. Mine says awaiting transport to VDC and its already on the dealer lot.

They purposely delay it so you won't show up, like I did, when your car hasn't been inspected yet and is ready for delivery. For example, my odo said 0 miles and I wondered how they got it on the boat. My MA said that was an example of how it needed to be prepped for delivery and that once they hooked it up to their computer, etc. it would register 1 or 2 or 4 miles.

 

Same here... OL says En Route, even though it arrived at the VDC on 7/24. AskMINI tells me that I'm at the port...Funny thing is, it just arrived at the dealership tonight (afterhours).

Should be Motoring by midweek... after the sport stripes, tint, and clearbra get installed!

 

I spoke with ASK MINI on Friday, and they said (as they had when the car finished production) that they basically lost track once the car was handed over for transportation to the port. Somehow the OL knows when it gets to the VDC, but with the 2-4 day delay the OL operates under, your car may be at the dealer before it registers as being at the VDC.

Anyway, congrats to the lucky members of the group; keep them pictures coming!

OL now shows mine as at the VDC, but more importantly shows an estimated delivery to the dealership as 7/30/08.

Me three! Hoping that puts it at the dealer tomorrow or Tuesday. That'll give them time to install the mudflaps and get the stripes done, so I can be motoring Thursday!

 

My car is due at the dealer Wednesday the 30th. Delivery is set for Thursday.

 

The OL is showing an estimated delivery date of 08/02/08 for me.

A day and a half with my guy now, and I'm blissfully happy. Never before have I wanted to drive so much and take the long way home! Had people pawing all over my car at a water park today. Someone called it a "mini suburban"

 

Thanks guys, I LOVE it and have driven 250 miles so far. I went on some twisty back roads today and got a little lost until I remembered that i have the navigation system. fired it up and motored home.
