No, wait!
There I am! I'm one of the lucky ones whose VIN doesn't come up at all in a search, but if I review the list of VINs in a ship (and what a joy that is to do, by the way...
) I found it. I'm booked for the Otello, but not yet loaded.

15/07/2008 12:27 Received at terminal
I guess that's GMT. What time are they set to sail?

You need the booking number, which is different for each destination port. For the Otello, the NY booking number was GBSOU659385.
As it turns out, not too much after I found the VIN on my own, I could then search for the VIN and find it like others could do.
Still showing that I'm at the port, and the ship left hours ago. Check the ship's thread. Reprobate got a nice screen grab as it went by.

so it's my last day in London and i was talking with my brothers friends who live on the out skirts of London and found he just bought a Clubman! very sweet until i found out its a week 29 build and he will be driving it week 31. i'm very salty about this whole transport thing. can't i just put it in my checked luggage?
Maybe once every couple years... It's not a live image, just a satellite map, like google maps. The "live" part of the map is the ship movement.

Thank you. I checked this morning and I got bumped to the Fedora. Another week of waiting
So I wonder if getting on a boat is kind of a "first come, first served" thing, or if there's some other method of determining which cars get on which boats?
Just checked with WW and still not booked yet on the Turandot, but I shouldn't be surprised. The boat probably hasn't even left Bremerhaven yet!

I would think that would be done at the VDC....
I know this might be posted somewhere in the FAQ but .... what is the best/easiest way to find out which ship my MINI might be on (or, if it is indeed on a ship at this point)??? I remember reading somewhere that you can pull up a list of all the VINs on the ship but I can't seem to be able to do it.
Thanks fellow motorers !!

Is it me or is the Otello making REALLY good time? It seems like it would EASILY make it to Halifax well before the 22nd....if it does, would they stay there until they were scheduled to leave for NYC on the 22nd and get into NYC on time or could they leave early and arrive early? Anyone know if this has happened before and what the result was? (Don't tell me to search, I don't have the patience!)
The Otello is a new ship and she was hauling out of Southamption. She was making 18 knots leaving...while others around her were doing 15 or so. I think the ship is just a couple of years old. But...I think she is on the wrong side of Bertha. I think the Patriot left 2 days ahead of her so I am using her to get a feel of where Otella is going ...but it looks like Otella's course has her quite a bit more North (because of Bertha) than Patriot took. Unfortunately there is a new low that is working it's way directly up the East coast of US.

Alright, I van't take it. My MCSC was completed on the 12th and on the dock the 14th but I cannot find any information on it anywhere. Surely it would have made it on either the Figaro or the Caribbean Highway but it still shows as awaiting Transport at the port. If for some reason it didn't make those ships I will have to wait another 5+ days before another ship sails to Charleston. Help I can't take not knowing anything. My MA is out for two weeks and no one will give me any information. Very frustrating.
Hey Astromini - I feel your pain. It sucks. I assume you have the VIN and that you're not on the WW line? If you are, you can check status by VIN number. Let me know how I can help - I know it SUCKs not knowing what's going on. I made the Figaro, and it should be in NY by 7/26. I watched the status at the WW web site - finally showed it loaded on 7/18 after receiving it 3 days earlier!
