Week 28 Support Group
My Mini is being transported to the "Port of exit"!!! According to the WW shipping schedules, the next departure dates out of Southhampton to NY are Saturday, July 12 and Tuesday, July 15 with arrival dates of Monday, July 21 and Thursday, July 24. If I am lucky enough to get a spot on one of these ships, does that mean I could have my Mini by the end of the month? PS I am on Long Island, NY.
I just looked at the shipping schedule -- my MINI should be finished on the 11th, and it entered production on the 4th of July. I know it's probably unlikely due to the turnaround time, but how awesome would it be if it made it on to the PATRIOT sailing on the 12th??
My status is "Transported to port of exit"...it would be great to get on one of the 7/12 or 7/15 boats. My birthday is 7/15... and that would be a great birthday present.
I don't know how to find out what boat my MINI is on and how to track it. I looked at this post (https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=144057) , but I can't understand how to interpret the links about the boats. How do you know which boats are scheduled?

As far as determining which ship your baby's on, as I understand it, you find out what ship you're on one of two ways: 1) You enter your VIN into the cargo tracking form on the WW site, and if/when it comes up, then you know. OR 2) You find out what ship from your MA.
I don't mean to be smart, but you're going to have to re-read the thread and go to the two websites to decipher the schedules.
So, any of you Ottos people, if you figure out what ship your MINI is on, let me know, maybe my MINI will be on that vessel too. Thanks.

Not sure if I'm in the right group or not, but heard from AskMINI that
my Clubman went into production 7/8 and could be finished by 7/15.
Great news since I ordered on 7/2! Sorry to those of you who ordered
earlier, but I guess I got lucky with my dealer's production slots (maybe
they haven't had such a large order backlog for Clubmans at my dealer).
The OL status is useless. That should be all automated and up-to-date.
Anyone know how long the boat trip usually takes?

I'm an Otto's mini person
- For some reason, don't know how I was booked on the Fidelo that left Southhampton on the 8th. Am I the first one in week 28 on a boat?
Also, for those who bought from Otto's - did anyone see the post in the general area about a person picking their car up and the dealership (Otto's) would only give them a half a tank of gas?

OL does lag about 48 hours. I went into production n 7/8 and today OL showed a change in status and a VIN!!!! Is the only lag between on order and Scheduled for Production or do all OL status' lag?

Nah... I'll have to go check that out. Wow... if that is ture, what a shock. Other makes are offering free gas for a year, $50 gas cards, all kinds of fuel incentives to buy... and MINI a half a tank of gas!!

In the paint shop today, with an estimated completion date of the 12th. WW has a boat from Southampton to Charleston on the 17th and KLine has a boat on the 20th. Looks like early August delivery for me....

Yeah, weird. Me, too. Not the interior, but the exterior color, and I normally don't care about that sort of thing much. But I'm in the paint shop today, so there's no turning back now!
You're giving them ~28k for a car, the LEAST they could do is fill the @#%! thing up for you

silly dealers, cutting corners where they can...
Per the ASK MINI live rep, Mrs. Peel is at the port, waiting for her ship to come in. The WW site does not yet recognize my VIN, but hopefully that will happen soon.
That's pretty amazing about the dealership that is screwing their customers out of a half tankful of gas. The jerks. It's just another of the many reasons why car dealerships are held in such high regard by the public.
