I guess I'm in week 29, or just on the cusp. When I called today, my car's in the body shop today, so it probably won't be done until Monday. Just my luck, too, as my current car decided to up and die on me yesterday (still waiting to find out that diagnosis). I can't get rid of it fast enough.

My Mini is at the Port too. Am also hoping to get a berth on the PATRIOT. Have you tried to confirm with your VIN? I haven't had any luck so far.

Mine is there too. I haven't had any luck when attempting to confirm that I am on "The Patriot" yet. I hope I make as well!

The PATRIOT is still moored in Belgium. I'm sending telepathic signals to get it moving but it's not easy work...

Yeah, multiple attempts haven't helped me so far, either. I'm also "awaiting..."

Hey, passatjeff: What variety of Passat?

I've also confirmed my Mini's booking on the PATRIOT. The PATRIOT is en route to Southampton and I'm assuming our vehicles will be loaded today or tomorrow for Saturday's departure to NY. If all goes well we should have our Mini's in less than two weeks!

MCCS H/C B/T H/C Interior, Cold Weather Package, Convenience Package, English Oak, Rear Fog Light, White Turn Signals, Auto Trans, Black Bonnet Stripes.

"Hey, passatjeff: What variety of Passat?"

I had a 99 V6 Winsor Blue Auto that I loved. Traded that for a 05 v8 Touareg. Love that.

Whoops, ignore that part of my PM! I had an '05 Shadow Blue TDI. Great mileage, but the fuel price differential (which has since shrunk ) gave me an opening to look at a MINI.

Auggggh! I'm getting a complex here. No boat ticket, at least it's not coming up on WW from the VIN. Maybe I got lucky and it went today on the K-Line ship.

Has anyone else had trouble getting information from Ask Mini. I have been "in production" and had a VIN since the 5th but no one including my MA can tell me where it is in production. It is as if it has best lost in the process. The Ask-Mini fol;ks seem perplexed that no information is coming up.

Did they give you a scheduled completion date? Mine went into production on the 5th and is supposed to be completed on the 12th.

PhillGreen,

Yes intitially it was the 12th. But I Ask Mini has absolutely no information (codes) on where it is in the process and have been surprised there is no information. My MA couldn't tell me anything either.

my mini started production on the 4th so it should be done on the 11th or 12. as i'm in england now, but way up on the northwest side, i can't just pop over to the factory and see if it's sitting about. i'm still amazed at how small all the cars over here are!

I'm getting the same, or it's taking three days to paint my car. They seem confused over why the info has been slow to update and sometimes in conflict. You'd think this stuff would be easy, this day and age. We should be able to log in to a webcam and see our actual vehicle being built.

Ok I am confused here....Isn't the Week....i.e. Week 28 for the folks whose car went into production that respective week....Lots of you lucky soon to be "I HAVE MY MINI" people who are posting in Week 28 are already loaded on or getting ready to be loaded on a ship. Wouldn't y'all be Week 27ers?

Some people think that your week is the week production was started. Some people think that your week is the week production was completed. Many of us are in-betweeners (started one week, completed the next) which is why I think we are here!

My car's in the paint shop today! I keep replaying the video from the website that shows the (speeded up) production line, imagining my MINI in place of the CR one they show. (of course, since I'm at work without computer access most of the time, this is going on in my head, and everybody thinks I'm just plain nuts to announce what's happening with my build every day).

And to top it off, hubby and I watched the original "Italian Job" last night. Great movie! Love the deleted scene of the auto ballet with the police cars in the symphony (?) hall. Greatest commercial for a car. Ever.

Spoke with my MA today and received confirmation that we're on the Patriot too. Wahoo! I think I read somewhere that they load and set sail tomorrow, the 12th, with planned arrival in Newark on 7/21.

My MA is still "managing my expectations" and indicating the car should be available by mid-August. It can't take that long to finalize the car at the VDC, truck it about 120 miles to PA, detail, and deliver it, can it?

This wait is brutal! I understand it gets even worse once you know the car is here in the US. Something to look forward to...ugh!
