I have been bumped to week 28 from week 27. No confirmed date yet but my MA confirmed week 28. Wishit were week 27 but I can live with one week...as long as I don't get bumped again.

sigh. still on order. this week is dragging along. feels like it's been wednesday twice already. i'm torn between the alta 19mm RSB or the positive steering thingys. i figure buying mini stuff and waiting for it to come in will help pass the time. at least until i've got a pile of parts in the garage waiting for a car to put them on! lol

Just got a scheduled date for completion of July 6th. I am so happy, it came a lot earlier than I thought it would. So hold in there.

I hope you can be happy for me even if I will be driving a "station wagon"

Does anyone know when the status online changes from "On Order" to "In Production"? Mine is supposed to be a week 28 production, but so far, nothing online. Thanks to an earlier response, I did check with "Askmini" and week 28 was confirmed, but I'm getting concerned because next week is week 28.

Same question here - MA and Askmini both say scheduled for week 28 production, which is rapidly approaching. I don't want to be left behind...

There are several of us week 27-28 ers here. I just opined on 27 that

we can't contact anybody until MONDAY!

Just the OL and automated response. No details. No status codes. OMG. I think my wife just left for a hotel...

In the How to Track your MINI "sticky" string originally posted by zonedguy - https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=144057 - we have the following tidbit of information:

The average MINI build takes about 8 days from start to finish. MINIs are assembled in Oxford, England at a large BMW facility. The output is approximately 700 MINIs per day over 3 continuous shifts. Yes they are working 24/7 to get your MINI to you. The first 5 days of production are staging days where all the pieces and parts are put in line and grouped to go into your MINI. This seems like a long time, but it has to be perfect – the wrong piece in the wrong car would cause it to have to be taken apart and rebuilt, think about how many more days that might take! The actual assembly is done in just one day. Painting and drying typically take up Day 7 and your final quality check at the plant is completed on Day 8. Once your MINI has passed Final QA, it sits for up to 24 hours at the plant and then is loaded onto a rail car and shipped 67 miles to Southampton, England for transport!
I'm a Week 28er too. Happily, my MINI has just (Friday AM, 4 July) shown up as "Scheduled for Production", along with a VIN. It was still shown as "On Order" late yesterday afternoon.

ON EDIT: I just called ASK MINI and used the automated function. I was informed that my MINI is in production, with an estimated completion date of 8 July.

Thanks for the reply Reprobate. I just checked on Miniusa and, like you, found that my status had changed to "Scheduled for Production" with VIN provided as well. Finally!

I am getting worried. Originally week 27, now week 28 but no date or VIN. Still showing scheduled for production as it has for weeks now. This will be a long weekend.

Astromini4 - have you "clicked" on the "Review Order Detail" on the left side of the "Tracking" screen? When you do, the Production Number, VIN, and order details should be displayed.

Hi, when you say "ordered" on April 11 do you mean your deposit was paid on this date and you were given some documentation about your car and web reference to follow its production? I tried to order mine on June 7. Today I'm still waiting word that the dealer got allocation to place the order.

Wouldn't you rather have a plant tour? Hard to get a tour plant home on the plane.

Your MA should have been able to tell you that information when you paid your deposit. The dealers know their allocation for each MINI model way way out. When you tell them what you want and give them the deposit, they can tell you what spot in their allocation is yours. If they did not, I'd wonder what's up. It's certainly no mystery to them.

We were in the same boat. We ordered on 5/5 and it must have taken about a month for us to get our info. They had used up thier current allotments when we placed our order and we had to wait for the next round. Once they got their new allotments (about a month later) we were called with our production number and a week of production estimate. You should call your dealer and ask about the allotments to see if they actually placed your order yet. If your order has not been placed yet they won't have any info to give you.

wow, quite a few people from southeastern pa. I too got mine from otto's.

I was told that I was week 29 originally, but last week my ma said to me that she was able to slot me in a bit earlier and my mini will go into production "next week or so"

starting next week is still week 28 right?
