Morning all. I placed an order for my MINI Cooper S last Thursday and was told I would be scheduled for Week 28 production. This wait is going to suck.

 

No, I just went through the automated prompts. But the mere fact that you asked the question leads me to believe I should speak with someone next time...right?

Did you order your Clubman from Main Line or Ottos?

 

Yes, an actual person will be able to tell you what production week you are in. Sadly for me, ASK MIN said it was Week 28, and my MA (Amos from Main Line) had said Week 27 when I had ordered.

Greetings my fellow Week 28ers! I was just confirmed for Week 28! Its only a mere 463hrs till that week begins!! Of course, that only puts us at about the halfway mark, but fun nonetheless.

We just rec'd our VIR and found that the anthracite headliner was left off and the Comfort Bluetooth was on there. We requested the $500 BT/USB because we do not want that center armrest, was positioned very awkwardly for us. Hopefully our MA will get those 2 items corrected.

 

I think I'm finally getting wise to the big conspiracy going on here. MINIUSA makes us wait in long queue, knowing that whilst we wait we are going to place innumerable orders for bling at coopersflags.com, outmotoring.com, detailersparadise.com, gominigo.com, minimania.com, minipirate.com, motoringbadges.com, licenseplates.tv, etc.

I can't believe I'm so excited to recieve a deluxe tow hook and a license plate! At the rate I am buying MINI bling, I'll have to disconnect my internet by July 1.

So excited..tester was an S and was a blast to drive. Test drive did have sunroof which i always get but without the shades, it was hot.

Couldn't wait any longer (ordered the car last Thursday) and called ASKMINI this morning to find out I'm scheduled for week 28! Woo hoo! Should have my MINI by mid-Aug! How do we get through this wait? I'm already going nuts!

How do you get the interior pic of your car? Looks like it's off the configurator - did you do a screen shot?

I just called 1-866-ASKMINI and was told that my Mini is scheduled for Week 28 (I ordered June 13). I am in the NYC Metro area-does anyone know when I can expect delivery?

I think sometime before Labor Day is a good estimate.

 

What dates are the Week 28 Production? When I called ASK MINI today they told me I was scheduled for Week 29 and he stated that is the last week of July.

 

Week 28=July 7. To figure out, just count out how many weeks you are from Jan 1 of this year.

 

Thanks...hopefully there is no break in production and ASK MINI was wrong for the start date for Week 29 being the last week of July.

 

oh! i hope it's not true but i've read that the mini factory takes a break in july... ASK MINI told me that week 28 is july 7 so...

i know it's exciting for our minis to be born and all but this wait is terrible!

 

I live in the NYC area and my MA at MINI of Fairfield County told me mid-August delivery. I placed my order on 6/16.

I think before Labor Day might be a safer bet depending on transportation.

I called ASK-MINI and they originally gave me week 27 but now I am told I am week 28 Hopefully things will stay on schedule from here on in.
The wait is killing me.

I am located on Long Island. After reading the posts on this board, I have to accept the mid-August estimate for delivery... (though there was a post somewhere that said that those in the NYC area were getting their Minis 3-4 weeks after their production dates). Too bad my MA told me I'd be getting the car in JULY!!!

I'm joining this fine group, having sort of slipped down the queue from where I thought I was originally. My MA told me 26, ASK MINI told me 28, then 27, with completion 6/30, now telling me 28 again. When I ordered the car, folks were getting bumped up all over the place, now I'm looking at September.

This is not my idea of a good time.

 

Just called ASK MINI (I feel like a stalker) and was told that my car was on schedule for EITHER Week 27 OR Week 28. In light of the fact that the lease on my current vehicle ends next month, I really really hope that the production on my Mini gets bumped up. Otherwise... I'll be regular customer at Enterprise for a few weeks.

 

Placed my order on 6/24 (dealer fit me into one of their slots), and ASK MINI just said that I'm likely scheduled for week 28 since there's no production date yet, just the on-order status.

 

It is amazing how productions get scheduled. I sure would like to know the secret . I note several of you have ordered after me and are going into production before me. I am happy for you!!!!!! My dealer is a high volume dealer and has very little inventory left. Maybe it is because I ordered a cabrio that I am a 29er.

 

just got off the phone with my MA who told me that he is confident that my car will go into production by the weekend and that, absent the boat sinking, i will be able to take delivery in late july.

PS: DMAC57, i think my MA switched out one of the dealer builds w/ mine to get a faster production date.

I think there is some dicrepancy with all of our build dates/order dates because of the different models all of us MINIacs have ordered. I ordered a Clubman... so I have been waiting here since 5/5 and I guess that is to be expected. The hardtop would likely be able to be alloted a spot that gets into production earlier... followed by the convertible and then the new Clubman.

I was hoping to get little surprises in the mail from MINI, or something to tide me over. It has almost been two months since my order was placed and I feel the need for some codling. What about all of you?

No word yet about a build date, but at least it's changed on the Owner's Lounge to show the correct car, instead of the one in the dealer's slot that they're replacing with my order! I was a little worried there I'd end up with a Sparkling Silver one!
