I find the love of pets helps get me thru a bad day.
Consider being a volunteer dog walker at your local ASPCA.
Its not hard work, but you burn calories and help the staff, and help the dogs feel better too...

Get skinny,
Help Dogs,
Help stressed staff...

Sounds good! You can google shelters in your community if you don't like the ASPCA specifically.

I totally agree, the best theopy in the world is a pet! But please remember they are like kids, once you have they, keep them for life, they are not "throw away objects".... Please...
nothing is better then coming home on a bad day and having my pup come up to me, does something and just makes me laugh! she always know when i need a pick me up!

Hey all, how do we want to get OWG (moderator) and ZonedGuy (the designer) badges to them? (we were going to comp. the badges, for their hard work).
While I do greatly appreciate your thought and generosity, I already placed my order while testing out the whole wrong image situation. Rather than a comp badge, I'd much rather see pictures of everyone's badges on their boot and 5000+ before we cap off this thread! How's that for a deal?

PeeWee is officially one month today.

He has 1100 miles now, and will be over the break-in period today as well!

...and I, my friends, am a year older.

**Oh yeah, am willing to buy OWG's badge and just mail it to him. Or I can order his then have them send it to his address? Waddayathink?

Happy Birthday Tweeckey.. i think..

i'm down to throw in for OWCs badge once the logistics are figured out.

i'm about to break 1200, and i have to figure out which oil to use.. i'm leaning towards Motul 8100 or M1. Can't find any of that Euro Castrol around here.

Thanks Dance! I think I missed yours when I quoted all the guys. Hehe. How's PeeWee's twin brother, Ziggy?

The MINI branded oil is getting some solid comments in this thread.

I may end up doing that, but I think i can get a 5L can of Motul for about the same price. I'll check if my auto place has it in stock and for how much and compare. I'm a little surprised Motul isn't mentioned on the site more often.

Ziggy is doing great. I think we are at 2800 miles. Really getting used to manual trans. again- my boyfriend even complimented me! I think (besides the MPG ) my favorite thing so far is hauling butt getting on the expressway, staying in 4th gear and tearing around the corners.

I've only stalled once. I must confess.
Planning is almost complete for the cross Europe road trip.
1) Naples to Arezzo for a medieval festival
2) Arezzo Tuscany to Bern Switzerland cross the Alps
3) Bern to Drilandipunt Maze (adult size labrynth) in Netherlands
4) Maze to NurbergRing, the F-1 racetrack in west Germany
5) The ring to Amsterdam
6) Amsterdam to Heidelberg
7) Heidelberg to an SCA Europe (medieval renactment) event in Ostberg castle
8) Castle to Oktoberfest, Munich (the mini will stay parked at Edelweiss lodge in Garmisch).

Can I pick anyone up a specific souvenir?
I'll have a US post office at Heidelberg.

Zig, Zag, Zug!

You folks are certainly chalking up the miles. After a month of ownership we are still under 500 miles. We expect to complete the break in period with a trip to Maine for Labor Day.

Three weeks of ownership now and the mileage is just below 600. Quite a bit of that is from attending Minis in the Mountains, which was great. Must admit to manufacturing reasons to take the car out for a spin. ;P

Just a friendly reminder...

Go see your dentist if you haven't lately. I haven't gone in a long time and now i've got an appointment for a crown to be put in. Then misc minor work on 5 other teeth. That's two car payments worth of work.. or a whole lot of gas for motoring around.

at least i got in a "ill come into the office early and give you a ride around the block since you've never been in a MINI." to the pretty receptionist. Yuko's cuteness strikes again.

I had a great drive to work this morning, (haven't said that in years -preMINI). I was a beautiful morning and the top was down and my favorite cd playing... and well you all get the picture.

No reminder needed... I just had my two lower wisdom teeth removed Tuesday. I'm swollen as a chipmunk stocking up for winter...
