Haha I would if I was not 6hrs away from the place! I've been there many times already but since I'm not really a local, all I know are the common tourist spots there. But if you're into nature, you can always check out Muir Woods just north of SFO, and the Queen Wilhelmina, and Japanese Tea Gardens at the Golden Gate Park. I'm not really into the nightlife thing but Castro is cute at night. We drove a friend there to check it out, don't ask.

Plus the Wine Counties like Sonoma and Napa are beautiful too. So much to see and do your 5 days won't be enough!!

Yay for everyone!

One month since delivery and now have 3200 miles! The only thing I would change is the illuminated sills which I didn't get and maybe LSD which I thought I ordered, but apparently didn't.

Three fairly major weekend trips with hubby and dog were fantastic. Lots of winding non e-way roads and a great time was had by all. I did order the MINI cooler to add to the boot for some of our longer trips. Orca eats a raw diet and we need to keep her stuff cool. Also, hubby is a diabetic and I thought it would be great for the insulin!

Knew I'd love the car, but didn't know how much. Week 23 Rocks. Hooray for all of us!

 

The badge available on the website for week 23ers has all the names vice the design that did not have any names. Is that the correct one?

 

The badge is up. Mine is paid for whooo hooo! Can't wait.

 

I can't even find it on the site, but no, the names design was not what was submitted. I don't even know how they came across that particular image...

Edit: I just checked...none of my emails to them contained that image so who knows where they got it. I'm going to try calling to ensure we don't have a mix-up on our hands!

 

I just spoke with Mike at Aesthetic Creations who was at Minis in the Mountains (jealous!!).

He suggested that Hannah may have picked up an old image from Euseys, but that he had not produced any of the badges yet, so he's 100% aware of which badge is the correct one and is going to make them up next week.

 

We love our Bigelow ... he's absolutely perfect! He's even more special because we think the factory screwed up (my MA is investigating). We have the Redwood Red seats, and the interior side panels are black. We think the panels should have been red! The black looks way better so we're cool with it. Can't wait for the outcome of this mystery!

 

Sounds like its all well in hand now.

I dont know where Hannah found the image with the names- she told me she dug thru her husband's email.

I'm certain it will be corrected soon. And, the good news is we can purchase them directly from the website and they will mail them out--so none of you have to wait for my crappy slow mail service!

Sorry for not emailing earlier- We were in Rome celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary!

Yeah.. is it possible to have one with and one without just so we could have our options? But I will order both!

 

I think Mike is only planning on putting the one WITHOUT names into production. It costs him to make them, and if he makes them but we don't buy them, he's stuck.

Maybe if you are interested in one or the other (or both) you could specify on checkout which one (or both) you'd like.

For now, though, as far as I know, ONLY the NON-NAMES badge is the one he's going to make.

Wow just got back from my honeymoon and there's a million posts to read! Congrats to all that took delivery....I've never seen so many Mini's as we saw in San Francisco (had to stop for a few days before heading to Hawaii =)....they were all over the place....

anyway I just ordered the W23 badge - piece of cake!

How about some time off... everyone needs a vacation sometime!! That is what i tell my coworkers. Take some time off and get away from the stress! You have a stressful job. Walk away for a bit!

 

Sometimes you need a vacay from life!!!

BTW- ordered my badge via A.C. / Paypal today- super easy. Can't wait to get it. Trying to decide between getting a license plate badge holder or doing something creative w/ the badge inside Ziggy. Guess I'll figure it out when I get it.

 

Yup I agree! I will be off for 2 weeks starting Aug 15, just to take some time off for my birthday.. but actually, I've been off for 21 days now 'cause I got sick. And since I'm in healthcare, they advised me not to work yet, more of a compromise precaution for me and the patients. Kinda sucks though 'cause I am off but can't even go anywhere! But am ok now. Just when m ready to go back to work, it's time for my 2 week vacation. lol.

By the time this is over, I would be off from work for 35 days! Thank goodness for PTO!

Hey all, how do we want to get OWG (moderator) and ZonedGuy (the designer) badges to them? (we were going to comp. the badges, for their hard work).

 

I was wondering the same... can't figure out an easy way. Any suggestions?
Let me give some more thought to this.
