Haha, you know if I do end up getting it on Monday night there's a very good chance I'll be the first in the country if not the world to take delivery of a JCW. Now that would be cool. You must be beside yourself with excitement yourself?!

 

Ah, yeah.
Working a bit late today to appease my boss for taking a "sick day" before my week long vacation Then headed to pick up a couple things for my vacay and do some "MINI prep-work" like deciding which CD's I am going to bring and making sure to grab my IPod and camera. Still need to find out what time it will be ready tomorrow. I want to be there ASAP.

 

Funny incident that happened a few a hours ago while I was out doing errands in my Honda, a guy came up to me and asked if I'm selling it 'cause he saw the sign and I said yes. So he asked me the details and for some reason I said this "It's a civic and got this much miles on it, 6 disk cd changer, 6 speed manual.. blah blah blah.." and the guy looks at me funny and says "it's a stick?" and I was going on an on and on about it and was just like "yeah, it's a manual". So we exchanged numbers and went our merry way.

Going home I realized what I said.. "6 speed manual.."

Ooops!

No wonder he looked at me funny like "wth is she talking about!?!".

 

Ha ha Tweekey Hopefully he calls you on it anyway!

 

MA just called- they have my car! It's being prepped right now he said and will be ready in the morning. They open at 9 so I am seriously considering heading down at 6 AM... guess I should check with my mother and boyfriend who planned on going with me. I don't think they're quuuiiiitttee as anxious as I am

Hey everybody! I got the call from my MA just now and he said PeeWee will be ready for pick-up in a hour!!! Woooohooooo!!!!!!!

 

GO GET'EM TWEEKCEY!!!!

 

Dance~, the brothers are finally coming home! Can't wait to see PeeWee's brother tomorrow!

 

I am unfathomably jealous right now.

 

Yay Dance!!! Have a FABULOUS vacation trip!! And post pix of the road trip when you're back. I'll (hopefully!!!) have mine by then, and our babies can reminisce together about their respective adventures and mishaps in VDC-land.

OWG, i'm beginning to realize that there are a lot more people that have recieved cars than I have seen pictures of, what's with that?

So got the car back from Ottos, the paint fix is noticable, but not much. They gave me the opportunity of having it sent to a body shop, but they advised against it due to depreciation and possible paint match.

I was given some floor mats as a sorry for the previous bad experience, so that was good. And my experience this time was much better. I am happy overall.

 

So now that my car is ready for pick-up, I finally got the VIN. Obviously it makes absolutely no difference now, but I found out that I was on the FEDORA that arrived on June 25. I know, useless info, too little too late, but hey, what can I say - it's a Canadian thing!

So it took 13 days from arrival to port to get to my dealer. Interesting to know!

 

at least you know now..

Anyone out there know if you are supposed to wax a brand new car? I had heard to wait 3-4 months to let the paint totally "dry" - myth or Truth???

 

i think it's a myth, i used to work as a car detailer for a big car company and i was not told not to wax new cars.

 

We picked up the Clubman at 5 this evening from Long Beach Mini. Awesome little car! Will post pictures when it's daylight.
