If not, we probably won't see them until Monday.. I can't remember which dealer you ordered from, mine is Mountain View. If yours is arriving there as well, and they are ready at the same time I'll bring a small plastic replica of a Champagne bottle to whack against the tires.

Hi Bill, nice to meet you.

I also ordered from Mountain View. I am very much hoping you are right, but based on what I have seen roaming around NAM and reading various posts it looks like it can take up to two weeks from arrival at the VDC. I am only home on weekends (I am in Albuquerque during the week) so if my car isn't available on the weekend of the 24th then I have to wait for the following weekend. I'm trying to not get my hopes up...

I'm all for the celebration - but would prefer to use a Nerf champagne bottle - LOL.

Tony

For those whose new minis are travelling on the Turandot I've found yet another way to chronicle their trip to the West Coast. Sorry if this has already been discovered. One can go to www.netpas.net and get a free trial to track ship movements. One can even enter the actual name of the ship and it plots it's route to Port Hueneme.

Say it's not so Joe.. I scheduled a week of vacation after Memorial day, hoping I'd be breaking Hawthorne in.. Mabye I'll spend it pestering my salesperson .

The nerf champagne bottle is a go..

Cheers,

Bill in P.G.

A couple more pictures. I still need to take some interior shots to show off the wood trim, steering wheel, and shift ****.

So far I've had two complete strangers ask me about the car. It's really fun to give a tour of all the cool features and mention the gas mileage (Computer says I'm getting 31-32, so that probably means about 30 actual). I'm sure it will get old after a couple months if it continues at the one a day pace, but for now it is just really fun.

Well, I've been checking the week 17 board (since I'll probably be on board w/ a lot of those MINIs) and they have FALSTAFF departing 5/8... I'm not sure if that is 'official' but I won't believe anything at this point until I see confirmation that my MINI is on board a boat (and not just booked on a boat ) I learned from my mistake...

Got my call at 9:42 p.m. last night from Mini of Sterling (Virginia, outside of D.C.) saying my baby will be ready for pick-up tomorrow (Thursday) night.
I'm heading out on a road trip to Ocean City, Md., on Friday. We're hitting the beach!
