Week 16 Support Group
Oh yeah. Well SOME of us are. The rest are total posers :-)
I'm with the Integrity group, and lucky enough to be near NYC and so the first stop after crossing the pond. It looks like it will get into port between midnight-3am Monday ...
How awesome!

In case anyone is as obsessed as I am: the TURANDOT finally appears on the Port of Southampton schedule. It arrives in Southampton on Monday at 07:30 and it departs at 18:00. Let's see, that's 10:00 am on Sunday morning here in California, so I'll have to celebrate somehow!
Did you west coasters all get on the boat? Hope so.
So I'm guessing Integrity must be in port? Anyone have any other way to track our cars once they make it to land?

your MA won't even know until the truck departs the VDC and nears the dealership. all they can tell you is if its at the VDC and if there's going to be a delay due to repairs being done on your MINI (which is a worst case scenario).
you're almost there...i predict you guys to get your cars in less than a week unless the cloverfield monster destroys stuff.

later today...it won't be too long now....
The TURANDOT departed today about two and a half hours later than originally scheduled. My mistake in stating that it would leave yesterday, I guess I was too eager.
I don't know how to track it now. AISLIVE no longer has free accounts and I looked up the call sign (SGBA) to track it on sailwx but it shows it being off the coast of Japan on 17-Mar. If anyone knows another way to track it, I'd love to hear it.
In case you are interested, here is some information on the ship:

It takes a while for the ships to show upon sailwx...the Independence II left Southampton yesterday (4/27) at 20:00, and didn't show up on the tracking site until 4/28 @ 18:00. It's now in open ocean
. But, it's a long time 'til 5/11.
This is how I'm tracking Turandot, not real time, but pretty good so far..

I just happened to notice the site shows Turandot's position being southeast of Southampton, when it would have been in and out of the port and southwest by now.. Looks like that site shows position 1&1/2 to 2 days behind. Work has kept me from keeping a closer eye on it, maybe someone else can confirm this?

We made it onto the boat! I wasn't snoozing, we just got back from the Snowball Rally in MY car. The whole time my wife would comment on how much fun the roads would be in HER new car. I agreed.
We were on the boat at 2:05pm. Who was last on? They should be first off, right?

Did any of you buy at Princeton MINI? If so, then we should be set to take delivery on the same day - has anyone heard anything from their dealer on when this might be?

Hello all. I was posting in week 17 but I am on Independence II so I guess I should be in here. Hello danhen, I see you are from Grand Rapids. I live in Allendale. I bought my mini from Bill Jacobs how about you?
I'm happy to see they finally got my Clubman off the boat this morning:

I've got an update - our cars have made it through customs and are now waiting for their place on trucks to be delivered to the dealerships for final prep and delivery.
I'm in the Detroit area as well, and ordered at Motor City Mini. Looks like there's a solid Michigan showing for a summer of motoring.
