Just found the thread, Mine finished production 4/17, it's awaiting shipping, I'll have to peruse earlier post's to get up to speed, but wanted to throw my name in the hat.. I'm a west coaster, in Pacific Grove Ca. ( by Monterey ), ordered my Mini at the Mountain View dealer. Ox Blue, sport package. I called ASKMINI tonite, still no boat info..

yeah. i knew it was fruitless, but i just called CR at mini. and they said they have no idea if the non-east coast vehicles have boarded a vessel yet. which is really odd... so pretty much if our MAs can find out for us, that would be swell. but sfomini & i are still waiting to hear back from them with their findings. so..........fill up on bread, SteveJ.

 

My Clubbie finished production right at the end of week 15 and made it down to the dock at Southhampton on 4/15. Based upon WW's schedules, I most likely missed the Isolde which departed on 4/14! Unfortunately, based upon the WW schedule, the next boat for West coasters (Southhampton to the VDC at Port Heuneme) is the Turnadot which will depart 4/28 and arrive in Port Hueneme on 5/19! ARGGGGGG! or is it

Now, the above is all supposition based upon ASK MINI having no info on where my Clubman is past with the shipper. I am not sure that K-line goes to Port Hueneme here in California so I am assuming that I will be on WW. I continue to enter my VIN in WW's tracking site and get the good old - can't find anything.

I did receive an email from my MA today:

Sorry for such a late response, I've been off since Thursday. Your car has been produced and is waiting to be put on a boat. As soon as it's on a boat, I can give you an approximate date of arrival. Until then, I don't know when it should be here. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.

 

Thanks for the link! I didn't realize this was possible, I guess I assumed I would *not* be on a WW ship and so I didn't scour their web site. Nice work!

How on earth am I going to be patient enough? This could mean not getting my car until June!?!

Steaming79-the Elektra was scheduled to leave Southampton this AM (4/23) and arrive in NY on 5/2. Thanks for all the work you have done organizing and tracking

 

Got a call from Mini of Charleston (MA) and Fireball was loaded on the Western Highway out of Southhampton on 4/21... Arrives port of Charleston on 1 May... Has to go through BMW delivery up in Spartanburg, then back to Charleston probably 2-3 May.... Probable pick up week of 5 May.... I took a look at the Western Highway on the International WX website for ships at sea and she was just off the coast of Spain heading west -- not sure of other port of calls for her, but 2 weeks is a long crossing for the Atlantic (21 year Navy man speaking from experience here)-- Must be a NY and/or some other drop as well...

Lucky you, JLL319! I think my Clubbie may have just missed the Western Highway...it was completed on 4/20, but I'm not it reached Southampton in time.

Guess I'd better drop a line to my MA...

 

Thanks Doogs, I was in the same timeframe as you for production, and when I tried to find the status of shipment for my MCS CR/B it never came up on the roster of any ship.... The MA called out of the blue to tell me that I had made a boat, go figure... Not really impressed with the ASKMini site stuff either. I have read some of these threads where people really go nuts over the shipping status for their cars, and the Mini site must be pure agony for them! I have to tell you though, I haven't been this excited about getting a new car in 25 years -- feels a little like Christmas used to...Almost like you peeked early and know what's in the box, but still have to wait for the big day to open the package....//regards Jeff
