Heard back from my MA. My Clubbie's not on a ship yet (thinking she just missed the Western Highway). Turning my eyes to the WW Independence II and K-Line Emden.

Am I lost?

Okay, I know all about curvature of the earth, plotting tracks, etc, but I'm beginning to wonder. Unless the Integrety turns west soon, it sure looks like she's headed straight for the Panama Canal

Am I THAT confused?

Independence II departure 4/26/08

You east coaster's get all the luck. She arrives in Baltimore 5/6/08, Charleston SC 5/11/08.

The soonest W.W. ship bound for Pt. Hueneme is the Turandot, leaving 4/28/08 and arriving 5/19/08. Unless they ship earlier with another company, that will probably be the west coast boat.

for all the west coasters (along with the ones still waiting to be on a vessel)...

And when all the newborn MINIs are stuck at a port in Southampton, it makes me a very sad panda.

In the Charleston area we like to say, "I may not have been born in Charleston, but I got here just as fast as I could"

While serving in the Marine Corps I was stationed at MCAS Beaufort, S.C. in the 70's. Charleston and Savannah Ga. were our escape destinations..

That's pretty much my story as well -- stationed here in the 80's in the Navy, rode subs out of the old navy base here and out of Kings Bay Ga.

Sadly, never been to Charleston, but the wife and I absolutely love the Carolinas - Greenville and Asheville, especially.

If I was ever tempted to leave Austin, that's probably the direction I'd head.

Hi SeattleMini!

I'm in Los Angeles. I ordered my MCS (Laser Blue with white) on 4/8 and production was completed last week. I think that means I'm week 16. So, now Ollie is at the port waiting a vessel. It looks like the next boat that comes to the west coast leaves Southampton on 4/28. Hoping to be on that boat.

Anybody on the west coast find anything different, or know how to see if you're on the next boat? I've entered my VIN at the Willemsen website and they don't have a record of it.

So excited...can't wait.

So its scheduled to get in on 5/19? Should I hope for it to be at the dealer by May 31st, so I could be pleasantly surprised, or do I get my hopes up and expect it to be there by the 22nd?

Where are you tracking it from?

On sailwx.info it looks to me like it's heading more or less straight for NYC / NE after making a right turn near the Azores around 0600 GMT yesterday. Getting pretty close now as well

West coasters still waiting...

Hi there!

Congrats on your order!

I think we're all hoping that the Turandot is our baby's ride out here. Or that there's some other (earlier) boat that the fantastic researchers haven't been able to find yet.

My VIN isn't in the WW site yet-- I'm guessing it won't show up until at least the weekend.

Yes, that's what I'm hoping for. Port Hueneme finally updated their calendar (the site says it is updated daily but it appears to be updated weekly) and the new calendar does show the TURANDOT arriving on Monday May 19. I like the fact that the name of the ship shows up in larger font size than the other ships - it must know I'm checking on it constantly.

Southhampton calendar only goes until 4/27 so Monday's ships (including the TURANDOT) are not on it yet.

Still impatient.

Well, as I have done each morning, I plugged my VIN into WW tracking site and lo and behold, it didn't come back with the message saying it has no info. It came back with the info that it is booked on the Turandot to Port Hueneme. So, I guess my supposition back in message #87 was spot on.

I just checked WW and I'm on the TURANDOT as well. That's a relief.

I checked WW this morning and got the same old "no record found" message.

But then I saw everyone showing up on TURANDOT...which doesn't leave until a few days after the Charleston-bound INDEPENDENCE II, and figured I'd try again.

Bingo! Cliffjumper's got a ride on the INDEPENDENCE II , departing Southampton 4/26 and arriving at Charleston on 5/11 (which strikes me as a very long passage...what...are they ROWING??? ).

Been lurking for a while. My PW Clubman was at the dock on the 15th and just now has found a ride on the TURANDOT.
