Week 14 Support Group
I'm trying not to call ask mini more than once a week, so I just called today and the girl there said my mini is on route to the port.
Now I guess they're not going to be much help after that anyway....Anyone know approximately when they get loaded on the ships after they get to the port?
It's hard to say anything definitely - which is torturous for the obsession, I know.
Mine appeared to move much more quickly than the Ask MINI folks predicted. I'm sure you've been logging your VIN # into http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp, right?

Yea, Ask MINI said it should get to port in a couple of days but was en route. And yes, I plugged my VIN into there...but no luck yet! Is there another shipping line besides WW that it could be on? (because I'm on the west coast?)
Waiting patiently...
I'm not 100% sure, but there should be information on the 1st Gear forum, within the Tracking sticky.
Hang in there!
P.S. There are so many Californians on the Clubman forum that I am sure you can get some answers by posting a thread there, if you can't find what you're after on the sticky I mentioned.

Have you been able to track the Fedora yet? I haven't...at least earlier today I could not find it on that sail site - using her name or her call sign of SLKU http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/index.html#search...but here's a photo of her: http://www.walleniuslines.com/doc_upload/Fedora.pdf.

Well, the ship will either show up as she gets farther out to sea - or we'll just have to check back towards 4/15 to see if she's on schedule. No matter what, the Fedora will be over here pretty soon all things considered.

..our MINIs will be shipmates!
p.s. where did you find the date for southern california?
Thank you so much obieseven! I guess I'm not too good at searching the high seas, but I really appreciate your finding the mighty Fedora for us. Do you, by chance, have a MINI aboard her?
P.S. I see you do - and again, thanks so much for the link - and I've found you and a few other shipmates over on the Fedora thread.

Any other week 14er's out there that still havent heard any word? I get no hits with my VIN at the WW site. I emailed my MA to see if I could learn what ship will be delivering my new MINI. She hasn't responded back yet.
Where are you from in IL. I'm from Rockford.
Just got off the phone with ASK MINI. They confirmed she was made on April 2nd and delivered to the dock on April 3rd. He said they dont get any further information until she's actually put onboard a ship.
He did say that it can take as much as 10 days depending on the number of cars waiting and that it typically takes about 18 days from birth to delivery overseas.

Ya, that's by Gurnee Mills and Great America right? Have you ever been to the Renasiance Faire in Bristol, WI?
Congrats. I'm a week 14er myself. Isn't the waiting hell?
I bet you'll be on the Courage. Keep checking - when you least expect it, your car's VIN# will show up. I know it can seem disheartening to try and see nothing but it's bound to come up soon.
Hang in there you 3!
Hang in there you 3!
My MA says my MCS will disembark in Charleston as well. It's a week 15 (automated message just updated to awaiting carrier this AM), but I'm really hoping it will make it on the Courage along with yours.
Yep right next to Gurnee. Gurnee is where I usually start seeing other MINI's and almost never in Waukegan. I've been to the renasiance fair but it was several years ago. Congrats on your new car also! Soon we will be driving them!

Before my MCS was assigned a ship, I searched the schedules and looked to see which ship would be the most likely candidate... that was the Carmen. And sure enough a couple days later, when I searched the cargo with my VIN, my Mini was aboard the Carmen. Here's Carmen's schedule: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...esselSearch.do. Looks like they've been delayed a day and are now coming in on the 28th...
