Today was delivery day!

After two+ weeks in dealer storage, I was able to take delivery of my Mini today. It took a little time for the dealer to sort out the registration, road tax, and license plates, but I guess I can't complain about the wait.

We made the two hour drive to the dealer this morning while I was trying to recover from a stomach bug (not a lot of fun). The call of the Mini was too strong to let a little bug stop me though. After a long inspection and walk through I was off down the 'motorway', in the rain, feeling ill, but had a big grin on my face.

I hope the wait is almost at an end for you guys. By the looks of it, it won't be very long now.

Just saw the Carmen carrying my week 14-er in the locks in the Panama canal! I wish it would just hurry up and get here already! Glad to see some 14-ers taking delivery already though, that's awesome!

Mine is supposed to arrive at the dealership today and I plan to pick it up on Tuesday...I can't wait!

 

Wonderful - am I right in remembering you were out of the country, driveblind? If so, you're getting a great welcome home present!

 

You're right - I was in Europe last week. I was hoping that it would just be waiting for me when I got back last weekend, but it's spent a little more time than I expected at the distribution center getting its land wheels back after the long boat ride.

I'm curious has your Owners Lounge changed from "En Route" since the ship docked? Mine hasn't and I was hoping that my car was on the same ship.

 

I just checked, still says "En Route".

My mini was released this morning, I am scheduled to pick up on Wed.

Just checked the owners lounge and the status has changed to "At Vehicle Distribution Center"!

Shouldn't be much longer now!

 

Posted this on the CARMEN thread but just wondering if anyone had been able to see the CARMEN anywhere. Before today, it was scheduled to be at Port Huenueme as of today, but I just checked on the WW site in the schedules area and it can't even locate the ship name anywhere!

Has this happened to anyone else, or anyone else have any info about my ship?!

 

I picked up my MINI on Saturday. I was so happy I could barely concentrate when my MA was trying to show me everything.

 

My MA just called and our Clubman is in Scottsdale, we pick it up tomorrow!!!

 

For anyone whose MINIs are coming into the Port of Hueneme, I found the ship schedule in a different place, actually on the Port website, not the shipping website. It shows all the ships and what they're carrying, plus when they're due to port.

Looks like The CARMEN has 270 BMWs and 233 MINIs!

 

i just stopped by the dealer today to go take a look at my car, but i cant get it till my mom gets back home =(

Got the call for my MA. Mines at the dealer, prepped and ready for pickup! I'm headed for the bank tomorrow and hopefully to the dealer right afterwards!

 

I picked up mine today! I didn't get to motor around as much as I would've liked today, but I have a lot of driving to do after work tomorrow. Not to mention the rides I'm going to have to give to all of my co-workers during the day.
