Week 14 Support Group

I don't have an official build date for my Clubman S yet, but my MA has told me that it'll probably hit the line on week 14 (beginning of April). Is anyone else out there in the same boat (or car)? It's going to be a very long 9-10 weeks until I get mine.

I'm in exactly the same boat. MA says week 14 but no official date. If it arrives in 5 weeks from production like he said it might, I get it for my birthday. Of course, Owner's Lounge still shows as Dark Silver.

At least the Owner's Lounge is showing my correct configuration. Hopefully we'll get an official production date soon!

My MA told me my Clubman is week 14 as well, how long you think it will be arriving SoCal? MA told me by mid-May, is it possible?

Our configuration is now correct on the Owner's Lounge. Our MA told us it takes about 5 weeks from build start to dealer.

FYI, some real world dates for westcoasters. Started production 11/30/07. took delivery 1/19/08. The only irregularity was that two ships arrived at Port Hueneme within 3 days of each other. There were 700 MINIs to process.

I called 866-ask-mini yesterday and the only thing he knows is that it is schedule to be build the first week of April (week 14), but he did say that it could be "earlier" then that

I have a feeling you'll receive it sooner than you think. I put in an order for an MCSa on March 1 and was quoted a late March early April build date but I just called 1-866-ASK-MINI and told it is in production and scheduled for completion 3/12!!!

When I called them yesterday he still couldn't give me a firm production week, but they still think it'll be week 14. Of course, I'd be ecstatic if it gets moved up, but then I'd have to leave all of you good folks on this thread.

I ordered mine on Feb 22 and have a week 14 production time. My car is also BRG so I wonder if they try to gang all the same color car orders together?

The only reason I can think of is that mine is an MCS and not a Clubman...possibly they're behind on production with the Clubmans or they don't build Clubmans every week?

The silence was killing me so I called ASKMINI. They verified week 14 but no production date. Waiting for week 14 is like waiting for spring. Of course, I live in AZ so I don't wait for spring but it seemed like a good metaphor....

I got an email from my MA today and he said that my MCS Clubman is moving to the next step, after which I won't be able to make changes to the order. He said that it looks like it's still scheduled for week 14 production. Does it sound right that the order will be locked about three weeks before production? I'm just excited that things are moving along!

I just called my MA to change my order and it went thru. However, he said that is probably the last time he can change it , no change of production week, still week 14.

Just got off the phone with ASKMINI and they said my Clubman was appeared to be scheduled for production for next week 3/17-21, which they referred to as "week 14"... From reading everyone's posts it's a little confusing - as in what they exactly are referring to by "week 14".

I thought week 14 means that week of March 31

Something confusing is going on here. Week 14 is definitely the week beginning March 31. Maybe you're just lucky and they meant Week 12, in which case you might be getting your MINI two weeks earlier than the rest of us in this thread! We're jealous!

Hey, didn't mean to start a fire storm - who knows, but that's what I believe I heard her say and what I wrote down. Now, I'm not going to take it as gospel and will try to hold off until late next week to call again.

Otra - no problem! Let us know what ends up happening. If you are on week 12 production, we won't be too mad at your here in the week 14 thread

New to Mini and Northamericanmotoring. Just thought I would join the week 14 support club, I'm starting to need it. I ordered my first Mini (a Clubman) on 2/18/08, even though my Motoring Advisor told me it could take a 100+ days. The order tracking page on the miniusa owner's lounge is starting to make me crazy, still showing "On Order" every day. But when I called Ask Mini they told me I am scheduled but not confirmed for production on the first week of April (Week 14). I'll feel much better when the order tracking page shows "Scheduled for production"!

Ahh, week 14 is a good week for MINI, or at least for me. I ordered my first Mini on Feb 26 and the built slot came back as week 19 (5-9 May). I needed it sooner so the dealer requested an earlier built slot from Germany. My Mini is now to be built week 14. Yesterday was my cut off to make changes to the order. Driveblind, I was told the same thing about no more changes around three weeks out.
I’m excited as I should take delivery during week 16 (14-18 April). Plans now include a factory tour during week 14, as I’m just under a two hour drive away from the factory near Oxford. I know the chances of seeing my car are super slim, but I’ll be taking lots of pictures.
I should get about six weeks of driving my left-hand drive Mini around the UK before I ship it back to the US and then have the long wait to see it again.
