Mine still says, "On Order" at the website. I called ASK MINI, and the automated voice said, "Scheduled for production, with no confirmed production date." I didn't have time to talk to a person. Off to work I go to make some more MINI MONEY!!!!! It's actually not a bad thing that I have to wait this long, better for my down payment. Everyone that I work with asks me about my new car every day. I have a 90 Integra that caught on fire in the parking lot a few months ago, so my car search has been pretty public.
I've only called ASK MINI twice now, the guy said week 14, I'll call later today and talk to a human.

Just called - couldn't help myself. Dede said "Your scheduled for production for week 14. Your MINI should go into production on 3/30." Well, at least that's something positive and goes a long with what I'd heard in more general terms earlier. Owner's lounge still says "on order".

Call 1-866-ASK-MINI when you have your production # (from your MA) (or if the VIN #, which I who "conceived" mine on 2/26 still do not have)..ask for customer representative and then tell them you're looking for an update... They'll ask for the # and tell you what they know, which is ahead of what you'll find on the MINI USA's owner's lounge. They will tell you what week you are scheduled for. Week 14 starts on Sunday, March 30th.

The sticky in this forum about Tracking Your MINI is very helpful for those of us who are waiting in the wings.

Thanks! I did read the sticky. I guess I'm just confused about what the weeks actually mean then. Do they number them in terms of their production weeks at the plant? I just figured all the "weeks" that were being talked about were how many weeks people were having to wait to get their minis. Like, I ordered mine today, so I'd be in week one of the process?? Guess I'm confused..

The week # is the calendar #. Week 14 is the 14th week of 2008 according to the calendar. Week 14 starts March 30th. Your dealer or ASKMINI can tell you what week you are slotted for production.

After ordering my new Mini I was excited about getting into the Owner's Lounge and monitoring the production progress. I soon found out it wasn't an option for me as I had ordering a US Spec vehicle from a UK dealer. I was dissappointed at first, but now reading about the frustration here, I'm not bothered anymore that I can't create an account with my production number. I'm expecting to get my VIN this week as production starts next week.

Now that sounds unusual, to me at least, you're in the UK but ordered a US spec... One thing seems certain - you'll surely be taking delivery of your Clubman a lot sooner than any of us overseas!

Welcome to the waiting - and please promise to let us know what your time line is so we can all be jealous!

I'm 'supposed' to take delivery during week 16 if all goes as planned. It may sound unusual to order a US Spec vehicle here, but I'm a displaced Yank for the time being. I'm in the military and soon to return to the US so I've ordered a Mini to bring back with me as a souvenir; and a lot of fun. I should take delivery before the others here with week 14 production, but I'm not sure I have it better. I'll get to drive around the UK for about a month then ship it to the states. What's worse waiting a little longer up front or having your prize then giving it up for 6 to 7 weeks to sit on a boat? I'll have to make the most of motoring around England for a short time.

I'm just curious, why are you ordering a US spec.d car. Are you shipping it back here eventually. The UK cars have the Auto Start Stop and the Brake Energy Distribution which is suppose to help with gas mileage.

Good news!

I just called 866 ASK-MINI and they told me that production on my Clubman S started yesterday! It's showing the estimated completion date to be April 1 and I should have it 4-6 weeks after that (probably closer to 4 since I'm on the east coast). I'm so excited that things are starting to really move along!

Lucky you and very exciting!! I'm controlling myself until next week and hoping my Clubman won't be far behind yours. Perhaps they'll end up as cabin mates?

My status still hasn't changed in the Owner's Lounge. It just shows as being On Order. Since it's being completed next week, I'm still in the Week 14 group. I'll be sure to let everyone know if anything progresses or changes.

I just called ASK-MINI and they told me that my Cooper S has gone into production with an estimated completion date of April 1. She said it typically takes 2 1/2 weeks to cross the ocean. So maybe four weeks until I'm zipping around Los Angeles!

My BRG has also started production with an April ! completion date. I think they gang the same color cars together to minimize paint color changeovers.

Finally in Production

Sonny from ASK-MINI said that my MINI is in production too with an estimated complete date of April 1st. He said that it started on Wednesday the 26th. I'm so happy!

Here's a link to the Wallenius ship's schedules. I'm not sure where the MINIs get picked up at though. I hope the link works.

Most likely they get picked up at or shipped from Southhampton, which is not too far from me. Then again, what isn't too far in the UK compared to the US?
I called my dealer yesterday and I have a VIN. The two sales ladies at the dealer think I'm nuts calling all the time asking questions about my order. Oh well, I'm sure they've heard it all before.
